Chester smiled weakly back. He couldn’t help overthinking though.

I was thinking we make a seperate thread where either Jayden or Chester is all like ‘hehe evil noises’ but either that’d be super out of character for both of them or i don’t have the mental stability for that rn)
Chester rolled his eyes. ‘I’m fine, love,’ he said, slightly shakily, but he tried not to show it. -

Chester nodded, smiling weakly. He buried his face in Jayden’s hair, and took a few moments before speaking. ‘Hun?’ he asked quietly.

‘No, but like-‘ Chester shifted his position so he could look Jayden in the eyes. ‘Like, are you saying this to manipulate me or something? T-To make me think you’re not gonna manipulate me so that when you do I fall for it?’ -

Jayd looked Chester in the eyes. "W-what?" He asked weakly. "You think I'm saying this to let your guard down?" He shook his head quickly. -
‘N-No! I mean, I don’t think you’re doing that, b-but, I’m just making sure…’ Chester said, meekly trailing off.

Jayden looked down sadly. He was messing with Chester's head, he knew it. He shouldn't have told him. He pulled away. "I'm not saying it to manipulate you." He mumbled. "You sure you don't want me to leave?"

‘N-No, don’t leave!’ Chester said quickly, snuggling back up close to Jayden, arms wrapping around his torso. ‘I’m sure! Th-This is your room, anyway..’
