‘Hun, if you weren’t concerned about that, I’d be worried. That’s just showing you care,’ Chester said softly.

Jayden looked like he wanted to say something about how Chester should still be upset, but he didn't say anything. He wrapped Chester in a tight hug.

Chester let him, hugging him back. ‘I love you, okay?’

"I love you too." Jayden murmured, burying his face in Chester's shoulder.

Chester kissed the top of his head. He didn’t say anything else, his mind wandering to what would actually happen if Jayden decided that he wanted to control him. He initially didn’t mind the idea, but now he thought to his kingdom. He loved Jayden, but he loved his kingdom too. Imagine the papers if he just handed his throne away to Jayden? He could control Jayden with hypnotism, but he couldn’t control when his eyes went red. Jayden could control whether or not he betrayed him.

Jayd looked up at Chester, noticing that he didn't seem to be fully... There. "Chester?" He asked quietly. "You good?"

Chester snapped out of his thoughts. He looked down at Jayden and nodded, forcing a smile. ‘Of course.’

Jayden could see how forced the smile was. He sighed. "You can talk to me about it, love."

Chester shook his head. ‘No, it’s okay,’ he said, kissing his forehead.

"Is it?" Jayd frowned slightly.

‘Yep, everything’s okay. Don’t worry about me, hun.’

"I'll worry about you all I want, love."

Chester gave a small smile. ‘You have nothing to worry about, hun.’

"Promise?" Jayden asked softly.

‘Promise,’ Chester said, booping Jayden’s nose.
