"I....... don't." Florence said. It looked into a room and it's face flooded with emotions as it crushed the hinges of the door and burst in. It mimicked the cry of a dying animal.
-
'Wh-what's wrong?' she asked, stepping forward.
-
Florence cradled to his chest what looked like a dead man. There was no smell and no rotting but it was completely still. It sat in a pile of oil. It was Florence's friend.
-
'A-A corpse,' Collins muttered, swallowing nervously. 'Of course it's a corpse.'
-
Florence shook his head as he inspected the corpse making odd shuttering sounds that almost sounded like sobs. "Fried....,.. circuits." Florence muttered, his voice full of sorrow.
-
'A robot?'
-
"he was....... my friend." Florence said cradling the broken robot. It looked almost too human. Florence started to play a sad melody mimicking a church organ and a violin. This robot was made by the creator and used to feed him when the assistant scientist would lock him in the observation room.
-
'Oh.' Collins kneeled down opposite Florence, tilting her head slightly at the robot. It looked human, but like machinery at the same time. 'I'm sorry.'
-
Florence played the melody low and sad. He felt a red liquid leak from his eyes. His eyes had gone grey with sorrow. There was no way to reawake his friend without the creator here. He missed the creator even more.
-
Collins wasn't too sure what to do. Her mind had drifted to when her grandmother had died. She was very close with her grandmother, closer than she was with her parents or anybody else. She sniffed and shook the thought away.
-
Florence picked up the robot, setting the heart on top of it before setting his other set of arms in the ground for better balance. "I'll bring him....... to the creator........... when he returns." Florence said.
-
Collins nodded and stood up, glancing to the corridor in front of them. 'Do you want to continue? Or head back?'
-
"i return....... when the sun........ peaks through the window.......... in my room." Florence said cradling the robot. He carefully opened the heart to listen to the melody.
-
'OK,' Collins said, assuming that meant they should continue. She flicked her torch back on and shone it in front of her. 'Let's go, then.'
-
Florence started through the hallway. Sometimes when it's eyes changed, the way it saw changed. Everything currently looked slightly green, but clearer. It hugged the heart closer along with the robot. It mimicked the shuffling of feet.
