Collins peaked out from behind the corner, watching the two fight. She winced at the screeching.
-
The thing charged fiercely at Florence digging it's teeth into his abdomen. Florence kept on punching at it until a silver substance fell to the floor. Then Florence's eyes went blood red. He picked up the creature and threw it clear down the hall letting out his own roar of fury before his eyes turned blue again. He sat up and checked on the robot. It was still inactive and relatively unharmed.
-
Collin screamed as the creature came flying towards her. She ducked back around the corner and the monster crashed into the wall.
-
I meant he threw it the other way, sorry for being unclear))
Florence panicked when he saw he threw the creature towards Collins. He roared at it again. He didn't like hurting people. He held his abdomen when the creature tore holes in his chest and stomach. -
(oh, sorry!)
Collins watched the creature, then Florence. She wanted to help, but what could she do? Throw a torch at it? -
The creature ran down a separate hall as Florence roared. Florence sat down and played his music box. It was stressful to see that thing. He needed to calm down.
-
Collins watched the creature run away, breathing a sigh of relief. She looked to Florence and walked towards him. 'Are you OK?' she asked, shakily sitting down opposite him.
-
Florence coughed and he hugged the broken robot. It would help calm his nerves he knew. Another set of his hands traced the carvings on the heart. He carefully mimicked the lullaby.
-
Collins cocked her head at Florence. She didn't want to admit it, but she was fascinated by him. He was unlike anything she'd ever seen. Artificial but able to have emotions and think for itself.
-
Florence mimicked something the creator once sang along to the lullaby. "My son, my sky, my heart. Though you are not here I hold you dear and I'll return in the moonlit sky." The voice was seemingly in it's forties when the verse was sang. He remembered shortly after the assistant researcher pulled the creator away.
-
Collins watched him do this, a small smile playing on her lips.
-
Florence closed the heart. "I am........... better now." Florence said standing up, carefully cradling the robot. He remembered the robot would sing too whenever things got bad with the assistant researcher.
-
'Good,' Collins said, standing also. 'We should get back now, in case of any other... creatures.' After a pause, she sighed. 'I'll probably have to get going, too.'
-
"Bye......... friend." Florence said. He would see this girl again after the creator came back. When the creator returned the facility would be fixed and the angry experiments would calm even if just a little bit. Then the robot would return and the heart would play the full song once more.
-
Collins gave a small smile. 'Bye,' she said, and stood still for a few moments then began to walk away. She was pretty sure she remembered the way out, and after a bit she pryed the hospital sliding doors open and walked out.
She'd definitely discovered something - and it was much better than a ghost.
