"maybe someday my existence will be something this town will be thankful for." Valako said. She remembered a dream she'd long forgotten. A dream that used to get her to school in the mornings

Jonah nodded. "They'd better realize how awesome you are at some point." He said quietly.

"y'know, I used to have a big dream. You've seen that rusty old water tower right?" Valako asked looking towards the town

"Yeah. It's kinda hard not to notice it." Jonah said with a small chuckle. "What about it?"

"well, one time I saw a billboard that had the usual town name, but underneath it said home of Garth Brooks. I don't know who that is, but I wish that someday that rusty old water tower says home of Valako Johnson." Valako said she stepped a bit closer to the treeline

Jonah smiled. "I'd love to see that." He said quietly. "That'd be amazing to see."

"I can't wait to see that water tower cleaned up." Valako said taking another step towards the treeline. She then got real quiet before saying "my mom told me my dad used to take care of the water tower."

Jonah raised his eyebrows. "Really? Do you know anything else about him?"

"that's all my mom ever told me about him and I've never seen him." Valako said. She didn't even know her dad's name

Jonah looked at Valako sympathetically. "Huh. That's... That sounds hard. And difficult for you."

"it's not that bad. To be honest I was shocked whenever my mom mentioned my dad. She said that someday I'd be cleaning up the water tower." Valako said

"That's pretty cool." Jonah said with a smile.

Valako looked out at the town from the treeline. The water tower was the oldest thing there

Jonah looked at Valako. "Do you want to.... Go up there?" He asked.
