Jonah shrugged. "I'm not sure I know either. I mean, it's cherry coke."

"she banned a lot of things in the house, like one time I remember I put on one of the Disney tapes and they started singing this cool Halloween themed song but a few minutes after it started my mom started screaming at me to turn it off then she burned the tape." Valako said

Jonah's eyebrows shot up. "Huh, that's weird." He said, trying to imagine what movie it was. He guessed Nightmare Before Christmas, though wasn't sure if that was right.

"she screamed that it was a demonic movie demonizing the savior's birthday. I didn't understand why she was so mad but afterwards she wasn't mad so it was fine." Valako said. She was happy she wasn't kicked out for watching the tape for a bit

"Huh, that's..... Odd." Jonah said with a frown. "I've never heard anyone have a reaction like that about a Disney movie."

"it's just stuff my mom does, I'm not even sure who this savior she talks about is." Valako said

"Jesus?" Jonah said. A lot of people he knew weren't religious, but most people at least knew who the savior was.

"I heard that name in school. Every time I asked who he was my mom would get mad though so I don't think it's him." Valako said. Her mom never told her who this savior was so she couldn't know. Every time she asked it was another fight

"Huh, that's.... Weird." Jonah said thoughtfully, trying to think of who it could be.

Valako kicked her feet on the branch

"Careful, you'll fall!" Jonah said, half joking.

"It couldn't mess me up worse than I already am." Valako joked

Jonah knew it was a joke, but he didn't laugh.

Valako laughed for a bit before falling into uncomfortable silence.
