Ari instead waited until Mia had stopped crying and started playing again before she wandered away and sat beside a tree nearby.

Javas walked back slowly. He searched in the back of a restaurant and found a mostly eaten hamburger. He decided to finish this person's hamburger as he walked back when he got back, he was scared by the fact that mia scrapped her knee. "Oh no mia, don't worry. Me and Matthew will get you some bandaids don't worry." Javas said

Aria sighed as she lay back against the tree. Eventually she fell to sleep.

After Javas had helped Mia with her scraped knee, he noticed that Aria had walked away from the group. He figured that she wanted some alone time

When Aria next awoke it was dark, and the temperature had dropped massively. She wrapped her hands around her skinny arms and stood up.

After sending all the children to bed he went to search for Aria. He felt bad for making her feel guilty. He shouldn't have gone to the vacant apartment anyways. He borrowed a flashlight from Patrick as he slept. Patrick used to be afraid of the dark so Javas and the others searched department store and appliance store trash cans for weeks to find him the flashlight. Javas had to be quick to get Patrick to sleep so that it wouldn't run out of batteries.

Aria looked around but it was too dark to distinguish anything without the light. Tucking her knees into her chest, she decided the best option would be to wait here until morning broke out and then she would make her way back to the others.

Javas searched around town first, flashing the light into some dark alleys before getting to the edge of town. He heard a branch break somewhere in the forest

Aria kicked away some twigs beneath her feet to distract herself.

Javas walked in the direction he heard the branches break. Soon enough Javas spotted Aria. "Aria!" He shouted rushing towards her.

Aria jumped at the noise and gave a sigh of relief when she saw it was Javas. She slowly stood up, staring at the ground, as she kicked the dirt.

"are you okay Aria? It's dark and you disappeared earlier." Javas said. He was always worried about everyone but recently he had a feeling that he should worry about Aria more.

Aria nodded, unable to bring herself to speak.

Javas extended his hand to Aria. "Let's get back to the alley, it's cold out here and this thing doesn't have too much battery." Javas said smiling. He figured he hadn't smiled for a few hours. The apartment had that effect on him.

Aria took his hand and nodded. She didn't say anything as they walked back.
