Eli looked at Callum's schedule. Humanities, same as Eli. They sighed. It'd be one awkward class.

Callum glanced at them, then looked away.

"I'm sorry." Eli said quietly.

'It's fine,' Callum murmured. 'I'm more angry at myself than you, anyway.'

"Why yourself?" Eli asked, not really expecting an answer, but still surprised by Callum. After all, Eli was being stubborn, even if it was for the right intentions.

'For arguing with you. And creating that damn thing in the first place.'

"I was arguing with you too. And you couldn't have known it'd do this. You just wanted a friend."

Callum looked away. 'It's still my fault.'

"Not really." Eli said softly. "I would've done the same thing. If I could make a shadow thing that is."

Callum sighed. 'I guess,' he muttered.

"I'm glad you came here." Eli said quietly. "I would've gone crazy without you."

Callum gave a small smile. 'Do you mean that?'

"Of course. I needed a friend. Someone that matched my weirdness."

Callum chuckled. 'Thank you,' he said softly. 'I needed to hear that.'

"You're very welcome." Eli said with a smile.
