Leo laughed quietly, careful not to wake up any of the other kids in the foster center.

Natsuki stirred uncomfortably and opened her eyes to see Ming still poking her. She pushed her little sister's hand away in irritation.

“You’re awake!” Ming said excitedly, wrapping Nat in a hug.

Natsuki couldn't help but give a small smile. She would've been sarcastic, but she couldn't talk so she didn't.

“She may or may not have woken up at the crack of dawn.” Leo said, laughing tiredly. -
Natsuki chuckled, rubbing her eyes sleepily.

“I did NOT.” Ming whisper-yelled. “Besides, you were already awake before me.”

'I was after you woke me up,' Leo said. He smiled playfully though still looked pretty tired.

“Whatever.” Ming mumbled, scooting closer to Natsuki.

Natsuki rolled her eyes playfully and put one arm around Ming's shoulders, using her free arm to wipe the sleep out of her eyes.

“I’m happy you’re here.” Ming said, smiling up at Nat. “It was so boring without you.”

Nat smiled and pulled her little sister closer to her.

“Wow, glad to see my efforts of being entertaining were so useful.” Leo said sarcastically.

Natsuki laughed. Ming pouted.
'You kept stopping to talk to your friends,' Ming complained, as if it were the worst thing that anyone could possibly do.
