Natsuki nodded.

“Ok, cool.” Nikolai looked over at Leo, who was still reading the Giraffe book and sneaking glances at him and Nat.

Natsuki followed his gaze, and smiled at how engrossed Ming was in the book.

Nikolai laughed. “She’s really into that book, huh? She looks so obsessed.”

Nat laughed, still watching her little sister.

After a bit, Niks watch alarm went off.
“Shoot, gotta go.” He said, standing up. -
Natsuki sighed sadly, standing up also.

“I’ll be back tomorrow!” Nikolai promised again, walking over to the door.

Natsuki nodded and gave a small wave of goodbye.

Nikolai waved back and left the foster center, biking home.

When Nik left, Natsuki sat back down, looking a little disheartened.
(Timeskip to next day?) -
(Sure)
Nikolai got out of bed and got ready for school. -
Nat slept in her single bed. Ming had once again refused to sleep in a bed without Nat, so the little girl's head lay in the crevice of her big sister's arm, between the shoulder and the elbow.

Nikolai went over to the bus and sat down.
(Just gonna casually change to Leo in the next post😂) -

Ming eventually stared squirming and woke, then poked her big sister until she - Nat - woke up.
