'I don't know,' Anne said thoughtfully. -
(ITS'S FINEEEEEE)
"Then perhaps you bathe and try on your new frocks?" Mariella suggested thoughtfully. -
'Oh, yes!' Anne exclaimed.

"That sounds lovely" Lily smiled.

(sorry, I didn't know what to write because idk how they bathed in the old days-)
Anne took the nicely folded dresses and walked up the stairs to her room. -

Lily followed Anne then tilted her head slightly looking a little confused. "This gonna sound stupid, but what is a bathe, bath?" She asked. -
'Something you use to clean yourself,' Anne said with a small chuckle. 'One a week if you're lucky.'
(Timeskip to after?) -
(Sure)
After they had both bathed, Anne and Lily sat on the formers bed. "Shall we try the dresses on now?" She suggested. -
'Alright,' Anne said, still drying off her hair. They were both wearing white underclothes, a singlet and knee-high shorts/underwear.

Lily's hair had stopped dripping so she didn't really mind the dampness now. Instead she unfolded the dress that Mariella had picked out for her. It was a lovely sky-blue dress with puffed sleeves and a little petticoat to go with it. The skirts finished at about ankle length which was long enough for her. "Anne, look at how wonderful this is!" She grinned running her hand along the soft material.
(Btw, I would never actually wear this in real life, it's just the kind of style back then!) -

'It's so pretty!' Anne grinned. She unfolded her own dress. -
Lily pulled her dress on and gave a little twirl before admiring Anne's. "What's your like?" She asked shuffling a little closer to her friend.
