Anne chuckled at Lily's remark about her questions, then glanced back at her. 'I suppose it would be,' she responded.

Lily lay on the grass looking up at her favourite time of the day. Sunset. It was beautiful, and she smiled at the sky then at Anne. "Your so lucky you now. If I wanted to come to this park it'd take me at least an hour from where I live"

'I suppose,' Anne responded, smiling sadly. 'I've never known any better, so I suppose I can't be sure.' She followed suit and lay down on the grass next to Lily, looking up at the sky.

(know, oof my grammar can go so weird sometimes, no idea how I pass tests, lol. Not bragging sorry if it sounds like that)
Lily curled over on her side, leaning on one of her arms. "So, what kind of stuff do you eat?"
(We definitely did not forget it was raining outside) -

'You and your weird questions,' Anne chuckled, quoting Lily. 'Bread, meats, vegetables, fruits and desserts. Everything, I suppose,' she said to respond to the question. She glanced at Lily. 'What about you?' -
"Bread" Lily agreed then frowned. "Mine's mostly stale though, I take it from a wheel barrow where they chuck food that ain't right anymore. I can occasionally nick an apple when the guy is distracted but not much else"

Anne looked back up at the sky, and after a pause she said, 'Atleast you can stay in with me for a while. You'll be able to eat proper food. And sleep in a proper bed.'

Lily smiled. "Thank you so much Anne, I think this is the happiest I've ever been. I've got somewhere nice to stay, I might be able to eat your kind of food and I've made my first fri, friend" she stumbled over the last word and looked at Anne. She thought they were friends, but what if Anne didn't think so?

Anne smiled at that last word; friend. 'I suppose I have too,' she said, looking back at Lily, 'Made my first friend.'

"Really?" Lily asked looking confused. "Don't you go to parties and balls and all that?"
(I'm disappearing, bye bye ðŸ˜ðŸ˜‰. I've got to go to School. It's 8:10am for me!) -
(Bye ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ Have fun at school! (I mean, scholl sucks so you know I'm only saying that to be polite))
'Balls?' Anne said with a forced laugh, 'I wish! I'm homeschooled during the week, and Sunday school is barely a time to make friends.' -
Lily looked taken aback by that. "I never knew that, Sunday School is church right?" she asked trying to push her knowledge further.

'Sort of,' Anne said, smiling. 'Have you ever been to school? I hear it's wonderful!'

Lily shook her head sadly. "No, I worked in the factory for a while but nowhere else. I don't know my maths and grammar but I know my geography round here" she boasted a little, glad she could say such long words without using slang.

Anne tilted her head at Lily with a smile. 'You can use your slang, if it pleases you. I don't mind it,' she said, before looking back up at the now darkening sky. 'Its amazing that you get freedom to explore the city. I wish I could.'
