Dream smiled. Nick was acting like a kid again. So carefree and happy. Like he didn't have anything to worry about. This was amazing. He was so happy for Nick.

"I can't believe we have a dog now! My mom loved dogs, I think." Nick didn't sound sad at the memory, bittersweet yes. But he was just okay for the first time in a while.
Trixie darted in front of Dream and crouched in front of the blonde. She yelped playfully and gazed up at him. -
Dream grinned. "Well, she's all yours. After all, she did save your life." He laughed at Trixie and went to pet her again. Suddenly he remembered his mask and pulled it out. "Should I put this back on or leave it off for now?" He asked Nick.

Nick glanced up at the sky, and then at their tower. They were close enough that he could see the top. "Hmm...If we run now you shouldn't have to." He said after some thought.

Dream shrugged then nodded. "Okay. Come on then! Race you there!" He cried, breaking into a sprint.

"HEY!" Nick called. He raced after Dream, and slowly but surely caught up. Trixie ran just behind them.

Dream laughed, trying to stay ahead. He saw the entrance to the building and ran faster, eager to be back where he was safe and wasn't risked with death if he was found. He didn't mind the palace, it was just that he could die if caught in there. Especially since Schlatt was in charge now

Nick pushed onward and probably would have overtaken Dream if he wasn't already exhausted. By the time they reached their home, Nick felt dizzy and could barely stay on his own two feet. "W-Woah-" He mumbled as he stumbled backward.

Dream grabbed his arm. "Sap, come sit. That was too much for you. I'm sorry. I should have walked back. Are you dizzy or what?" He asked, gently pulling his friend closer.

"I'm tireed aannnd dizzyy" Nick's words were slurred together and he couldn't quite keep his eyes open. His knees shook slightly and he tried to stay upright. "T-Tired-"

Dream picked Nick up, bridal style, and carried him inside. "Shh, just relax." He whispered as he laid Nick down on his bed. "Sleep a bit okay? I'll wake you up if we need to go somewhere, okay?"

Nick grabbed Dream's hand. "Stay," He murmured. His voice was nearly too quiet to be heard. He was already nearly unconscious, but he wanted Clay to stay nonetheless.
Trixie followed the boys up into the tower, and she laid on the floor beside Sapnap's bead. -
Dream smiled and nodded. "Do you want me to lay down with you?" He asked, brushing Sapnap's hair back.

"Hmm," Nick nodded and tried to open his eyes so he could look up Dream.

Dream smiled and lay down next to Sapnap. He smiled at Trixie and wrapped his arm around Sapnap. "Goodnight, Sap."
