"I know, but I’m just a bit worried after all.” Felix whispered back, a bit frantic. "I pulled you into this mess. You don’t deserve having the fear of death. You’ve gone through enough with my brother as is.”
-
"And if we don't do this Axel will do it again," Rasia said. "Go, I'll be fine."
-
"Yes, yes, you must hurry along!” Skipper's voice rang out. His long thin arms surprisingly managed to push a very hesitant Felix towards the door despite the small struggle the young man tried to cause. "Old men like me need food to grow faster.”
“Shouldn’t you be wishing not to become older?” Felix growled through clenched teeth.
Skipper paused in his step and glared at Felix.
Felix's question was ignored. -
Rasia let out a sigh. "Where's the kitchen?" she asked, looking at Skipper.
-
"Right over here!” Skipper grinned.
There was a closet right next to where Skipper and Rasia were standing. Skipper pranced over to the doors and flung them open. There was nothing except for dreary, ratted clothes barely hanging on rotting wooden hangers. Skipper snatched Rasia's arm, his long fingernails digging into her skin and leaving crescent marks, and then pulled her into the closet. -
"Ow!" Rasia said. She tried to yank her arm away but his grip was too strong. She was confused when she was put into a closet. She looked at Skipper wide-eyed in utter bewilderment.
-
"Close your eyes~!" Skipper trilled, his voice high.
-
Rasia was extremely nervous. Rubbing her pained arm she debated with herself for a moment whether to trust this man or not. Well, she certainly didn't trust him, but if she didn't do what he said then Axel would never get better.
"Will this somehow bring me to some sort of kitchen?" she asked, looking up at Skipper. -
"My goodness, you've certainly done your research, haven't you young lady?" Skipper cackled with a toothy grin. His teeth were a dark yellow and had several black holes in them. It looked and smelled like he hadn't brushed them for a hundred years, if not more than that. "A fan of Narnia, eh?"
-
"Not exactly, I just don't see any other reason for you to throw me into a closet," Rasia said, surpressing the urge to roll her eyes.
-
"There are plenty of reasons I could do that," Skipper said with a small shrug. "Never trust a stranger."
-
"It's a closet," Rasia pointed out. "Now what exactly do I do to get to the kitchen from a coat closet?"
-
"My bad!" Skipper clapped his hands three times before squeezing his eyes shut. A bright blinding light shone for two seconds before fading away into a kitchen.
It was much more cleaner than the room they had been in prior to this one. The marble floors sparkled brighter than a diamond. Each type of food was individually placed in a certain crate depending on what it was. Pots and lands of the highest quality were neatly placed on racks, and the oven had complicated buttons and knobs that were used to make it work.
Alongside each crate of food was a wooden doll. Some looked newer but others had mold growing on them, and some would crumble easily if touched. -
Rasia was confused by the dolls, but she paid them no mind. "So what would you like to eat?" she asked, examining the various crates of food.
-
"What is it you know how to cook? I'm sure you had to cook quite a lot of food for little Axel during your time as a hostage!" Skipper exclaimed cheerfully.
