Andrew laughed. "Ok, seriously now," he said after a moment. -
El looked at Andrew, waiting impatiently for his question.

"Why are you hanging over here instead of with Julian?" he asked. "You like him now, not me."

(Me: OH CRAP WHAT DO I TYPE)
El froze. She apparently wasn’t expecting this question and she didn’t know why. “Uh- I- uh- umm,” she began, at a loss for words. She looked down. -

"Has he done something?" Andrew asked in a concerned voice. -
“N-no, he hasn’t,” El replied, her blue eyes still latched into the floor.

"Are you sure?" Andrew asked.

“He hasn’t,” El insisted, her voice firmer this time. She looked up into Screws gaze which usually made her weak at the knees. But for some reason it didn’t this time. She didn’t know why.

Andrew heard a buzz in his pocket and pulled out his phone and looked at it. "Sorry, my mom wants me home," she said.

“Oh ok, see ya,” El said before quietly walking back to Julian.

"How was it?" Julian asked.

“It was good, we danced to BTS and we chatted over punch. But he did ask me why I was hanging out with him if I liked you...” El said to Julian as she sat down.

"How did you respond?" he asked.

“I didn’t,” El said. “I was too busy stuttering. Then he walked me if you did anything and I said no.”
