Turner shook his head in disbelief and sighed wearily.
"Callyn, I'm going to tell you this again, I'm your friend. I would do anything for you." Turner mumbled, scratching the back of his head awkwardly. -
"It's too much," Callyn said.

"What's too much?"

"Everything you're doing for me," Callyn said. "Like I said, you shouldn't have to take care of me."

"We're really good friends, Callyn. You'd do the same for me." Turner beamed.

"I would..." Callyn said.

"That's really comforting to hear." Turner said.

Callyn nodded. "Let's make the cookies now," she said. As she got started getting the other ingredients together she wondered why he was suddenly so insistent that they were 'really good friends.' Usually when they mentioned their relationship with one another Turner always tried to get in there that he loved her.
Had he given up on her? Had he realized that they might not be together and was surpressing his feelings? Whichever one it was, it made her heart hurt.
The truth was, she liked Turner. But what was holding her back was fear. The last time one person cared for the other more, the person that cared more got hurt. Callyn had seen that repeatedly in her life. She didn't want to hurt Turner. -
"Callyn, why are you staring into space?" Turner snapped his fingers in front of Callyn's face. His hair and face was covered in batter that he had whisked too hard. "Are you thinking about yours truly?" Turner wiggles his eyebrows.

Callyn smiled and laughed a little. "Yeah," she said.

Turner let out a small gasp, one nobody would be able to hear. His face turned red as he looked at the ground and fiddled with his fingers.

"Are you okay?" Callyn asked, concerned for him.

Turner snapped his head up and bobbed it up and down repeatedly.
"YEP! Never been better! Why do you ask?!" No matter how hard Turner tried to hide it, the shyness in his voice was evident. -
"Your whole attitude just changed like that," Callyn snapped for emphasis.

"SKWJAUUEW THAT WAS PROBABLY A ONE TIME THING, SORRY!"
