"But then I said that I had only known you since you almost drowned," Adrian said. "If I had said that I've been watching over you all your life then you would have called the police."

"No I wouldn't. I'd just call you a childhood friend or a pervert." she mumbled.

"You say that now," Adrian said, "but thinking back, would you have when you first met me?"

"Yes." she insisted.

Adrian shook his head. "I don't think so."

"Well you think wrong then. You wouldn't know WHAT I would do if it hit you in the face." said Jewel, who was getting angry.
(And may I add for no apparent reason.) -
Adrian sighed. "I'm sorry."

Jewel shook her head. "Why would you lie to me?" she asked.

"I already told you why," Adrian said. "But I'm telling you right now that I regret doing it."

"Are you sure? Or is that just another lie?" she asked.
(I don't blame him for feeling sorry, he has unleashed a dramatic Jewel. HIDE) -
"Jewel..." Adrian said softly. He didn't know what to say.
He had lost her trust. The love of his life didn't think he was trustworthy. She didn't think he was dependable or believable. -
"Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go do something." she said, leaving the room. Jewel didn't care what they said, she was going to get her little brother back, no matter the cost.

"No, you can't," Adrian said, blocking the door with himself. "You may hate me, you may not trust me, but I am still your Guardian."

"Move." Jewel commanded.

Adrian shook his head. "I can't."
