Qirona said "The journey is long and hard. You better get going now." Laucian said "Never fear, my queen. We will get the bow back. I promise."

Rasia nodded in agreement. Her feet were itching to get moving, but formalities were a thing, and she didn't want to be disrespectful.

Qirona nodded and she walked away. Laucian said "Let's get going. This way."

Rasia followed him through the castle. So much had happened in so little time and she was still amazed at all of it.

Once they exited the castle, Laucian began to lead Rasia past the city and to the outskirts. He then took out the map and said "Alright, we got a good ways to go and it is bloody dangerous. But I think we can do it. We start by going east."

Rasia looked at the map. None of it was in English. She assumed it was elven language? "I can't read a word of anything that says," Rasia told him.

Laucian took the paper and turned it upside down. He said "You were reading it wrong."

Rasia put her head to the side, clearly annoyed with herself. She had never been good at reading upsidedown.

Laucian started walking and said "Just walk this way." and he began walking east towards some deeper caves.

Rasia walked with him. "Why did you think humans were extinct?" she asked.

Laucian said "The last time humans visited us, they had certain sicknesses that they ask our help for. Unfortunately, the sickness was too great for even our best medicine people. We were lucky not to be infected but there was nothing we could do for the humans. That's when they resented us and simply stopped visiting. When nobody came for the next 150 years, we just assumed the sickness killed all of them."
(The sickness he's referring to is smallpox.) -
Rasia thought for a moment. "So, you thought that humans were extinct, and yet you still believed this...prophecy?"

Laucian said "Well, it wasn't exactly a prophecy we were gonna live and die by. Honestly, if you hadn't shown up, we all would have lived our lives until we found a means to get to the surface ourselves, without the bow."

"Why did you guys move underground in the first place?" Rasia asked. "And how does a bow-bearing human get you out of here, when you could just do what you did before, and go through the caves?"

Laucian said "We didn't move here. We've always lived here. And I found that hole by accident. Anyone old enough to remember where that hole is, is too old to climb and since we thought the humans were extinct there was no reason to find it."
(I feel like I'm starting to make less and less sense the more I try and explain this stuff.)
