(Ok, so is it an alien child or no? They'd also have a different mindset maybe than of a human child)

Probably, but an alien child seems a little far-fetched to me))
"So what do you want to do next?" Alastair said, sitting up straighter. -
(Yeah, you're right. It's just the repetiveness is kind of unlike a child to do.
Also what about them doing what they're doing right now? Is it kind of like Toy Story?))
Rebecca looked at him and shrugged. "I don't know," she said. -

"We could go for a stroll if you'd like," Alastair suggested. -
Rebecca chuckled. "I like how you say that," she said. "A stroll."

Alastair snorted. "What would the normal term be?"

"A walk," Rebecca answered with a laugh in her voice. "But it's fine, you can call it a stroll."

"A stroll, er, walk it is, then," Alastair said.

Rebecca stood up. "Where'll we be going?" she asked

"Anywhere you'd like," Alastair said.

"Umm let's go to the park, I guess," she said.
(She reminds me of on of my friends from first grade. Always depended on the others to make a decision for her.) -

Alastair opened the door for Rebecca politely.A true gentleman, except he needs the pointy heels. -

"Thanks," Rebecca said as she walked out the door. -

"No problem," Alastair said, following soon after. The air was crisp and fresh, a light autumn wind blowing softly around. -
"Fall's always been my favorite season," Rebecca said as they walked down the sidewalk.
