(What?)
You could tell the minute before they started Dancing who was brainwashed. They enjoyed the Dance. They moved in flow with the Force and what it wanted them to do. But when the Dance started the only way you could tell who wasn't brainwashed was with their facial expression, but even that would be muffled to where you weren't sure if they were or not.
Her hand was taken by a young man. She couldn't tell if he was brainwashed or not.
"I hate this," Rebecca muttered. Her head was shot with pain again, this time much more intense than earlier that night. She gasped, and tensed up, a trace of tears in her eyes, but she was forced to keep dancing with the same elegance. The Force obviously didn't approve of her hating it. -
I suffer writing two detailed sentences and you posted that frickin' essay >:C))
Alastair looked at the young lady with an expression of sharp surprise. He glanced around to see if anyone had overheard her, but they seemed to be cheerful and brainwashed. He lowered his voice and whispered, "Me too."
The pain tore through his brain like a flash of lightning, causing him to wince for a moment. -
(XD that's just how I roll)
Rebecca wasn't the only one, she realized. She heard other people talking with each other, the brainwashed ones. They could talk about things as long as they weren't related to that topic.
Rebecca now knew one person she could rely on.
"Where do you live?" she asked. "Maybe we could meet up sometime." If he lived nearby to her maybe they could figure something out about all this. -
-
*screams in no creativity*))
Alastair twirled the young lady around and said, "Camberlin, Patterstone Street, first house to the left. What about you?"
The Force seemed to wrap around his skull and he had to use every speck of willpower he had to keep it away. -
(XD sends what little creative juices I have to you)
Rebecca thought for a moment. "I live near there. Do you want to meet somewhere so that we can discuss..." She glanced up at the top of the dome, not daring to say it. She could tell the Force was getting stronger, slowly but surely. -
*absorbs* i need more))
"Yes," Alastair interjected. "But before it returns us to where we belong, I would like to know your name." -
(I don't have amore)
"Rebecca Morely," she answered. "And yours?" -
I'll give you yours back then, I borrowed it))
"Alastair Mooncrest. A much fancier name than I deserve, I will admit," he said, a light laugh in his voice. -
"I never thought much about my name," Rebecca said.
-
"Your name is lovely and so are you," Alastair said smoothly. "Where do you think we are?"
-
Rebecca wasn't sure how to respond to the compliment. So all she said about it was "Thanks" with a small smile. Then she looked around. "I don't know. We're teleported here right away, then teleported straight back. There's no way to know.
The music was slowing down. The Dance was about to end for the night. "Tomorrow?" she asked. -
"I'll see you then," he said with a smile. A few moments later, he was back at his house. For once, the Dance hadn't been so bad.
-
Rebecca nodded, then was teleported back to her bedroom. She yanked her pajamas back on and hung her dress back up. She laid down in bed and pulled the covers over her shoulders. She had actually enjoyed herself a bit at the Dance, for once, and it was not because of the persuasion of the Force.
-
Alastair changed into something more comfortable and went to bed. (Timeskipperoonie?)
