Cherryfall gave Drakestorm her intimidating "I-am-older-and-wiser-and-am-looking-down-at-you-right-now" look. "Well are you going to help her or not?"
Bluefly coughed up water, her lungs burning as she gasped for air. Treeslash frantically lapped the water off of his small, fluffy kit as she wailed sorrowfully. -
"Well, Bluefly thinks she went out of camp and is looking for her. Plus, I'm injured." He protested.

"And she's blind," Cherryfall countered. "You go out and keep her from injuring herself, you hear me?"
Willowsway watched Cherryfall amusedly, licking the heads of her tiny silvery gray kits.

"Thank you," Treeslash whispered to Bluefly, touching his nose against her pelt. She nodded, too tired to speak. He used his shoulder to help support her back to camp, carrying Cottonkit by her scruff. -
He padded out and found Sightfall. "You know, Bluefly's out looking for her right now. I'm sure she'll be back with Cottonkit soon. In fact, I know my mate. I promise she'll be back with Cottonkit as soon as possible."

Sightfall whimpered and paced back and forth. "But Cottonkit's blind! She can't see! What if she's fallen into a ditch and they'll never find her?"
Treeslash entered the camp at that moment at Sightfall pricked her ears. She had memorized the way each of her clanmates walked and in a moment, she felt his muzzle on her shoulder. She burst into loud purrs, soaking up both his love and the water that drenched his fur.
Bluefly walked slowly over to Drakestorm, exhausted but happy. She purred feebly and rubbed against him. -
"Bluefly!" He mewed, immediately licking his mate to death. "You shouldn't have gone out like that! You're expecting kits! You're cold and wet! Are you ok?" He asked, poor Drakey is worried to death.

"I'm okay," she said, purring stronger now. "If I don't help kits in need, what kind of a mother would I be to ours?" -
He thought of that for a moment, then nodded. "You're right." He mewed, and ran over to Jadestone. "Jadestone! Bluefly is cold and wet!"
Bluefly needs thyme for shock and some cat, preferably Drakey, to keep her nice and warm.)) -

Jadestone ran over, her eyes bright and alarmed. She instantly started getting some thyme and moss, making Bluefly eat the thyme and using the moss to help sponge off the water. The blue-gray she-cat murmured her thanks and gratefully curled up in the medicine cat's den.
"She'll need to be kept warm," Jadestone said on her way to Cottonkit and Treeslash. "Can you do that?" -
"Of course." He mewed, immediately curling around his mate, resting his tail around her and near her nose, his head on her paws. He gently licked her cold, wet pelt with his warm tongue, hoping it would help.

Bluefly nuzzled against him, licking his cheek affectionately. When Nightpelt heard the news about her daughter-in-law, she came charging into the medicine cat's den and buried Bluefly in her black fluff like a broody chicken. Rainkit came too, curling up against her mom.

Drakestorm finished giving Bluefly a very thorough cat-bath and finally noticed Nightpelt and Rainkit. "Hi Nightpelt." He said to his mother.

"Hello, my kit," Nightpelt said with a purr, rasping her tongue over his ear and nestling onto Bluefly, who was now fast asleep. Jadestone began to show Rainkit some herbs to entertain her.

He touched Nightpelt's nose with his own and laid his head down again on Bluefly's paws.

Bluefly began to dream. She opened her eyes and saw that she was in the center of a beautiful silvery forest. A cat of the same color as the trees came towards her, progressively growing smaller and smaller until a small silver kitten was at her feet. For some reason, its innocent frosty blue eyes sent a chill down her spine.
It rubbed against her leg, causing her to shriek as ice coated the place where the kitten had touched. She woke up in a sweat, panting.
