"The Dark Forest," Stillkit said promptly. "He also says that you've been there before. Is that true?"
-
Drakestorm suddenly froze, and his eyes narrowed as he spotted Reedpelt, glaring at him for a solid ten minutes with his ears pinned back. "That fox-heart-" He began, then remembered that there were kits listening. "You two have heard enough for one day." He got up and padded to Jadestone. "My scratches are hurting again."
He needs dock and oak leaf, and probs time for his marigold and poppy too)) -
"But I wanna know..," Stillkit whimpered as Drakestorm walked away. Rainkit rasped her tongue over Stillkit's ear.
"Come on, Stillkit. Let's go play," she said, leading him away.
Jadestone was swiping her paw over her ear and blinked sleepily at Drakestorm when he approached her. "Here for your herbs? I'll get them for you." -
"Thank you." Drakestorm murmured. He sighed. "I'm going to need to have a talk with Reedpelt or Treeslash. Maybe just Treeslash, so I don't end up getting angry and overreacting and accidentally clawing Reedpelt."
-
Jadestone nudged the herbs towards Drakestorm and gazed at him with a troubled expression. "And why would you do this?"
Bluefly put her head on her paws, sighing softly. Nightpelt was training her apprentice for her, which she was grateful for, of course. But it also made her feel like an incapable mentor. -
"He's telling the kits stories about me that they shouldn't hear. And I'm worried he'll over exaggerate and say something bad about me." He responded.
-
"Then I'll tell him to stop," Jadestone said, stretching in relaxation. "You would be surprised about the influence you can have when you're a medicine cat."
-
He tilted his head. "Dawnstar never listened to medicine cats. He treats them badly and says they're practically useless because they never hunt or fight." He said, his voice cracking as he remembered the horrible conditions there.
-
Jadestone placed her tail on Drakestorm's shoulder reassuringly. "MossClan is different. You've had a bad past, but your life here is good. So dwell in the present instead."
-
He nodded. "I can try."
-
Jadestone purred. "Thank you. Now eat your herbs!"
-
He ate them, his face turning sour at the bitterness.
-
Jadestone laughed. "I know they taste nasty, but you'll grow used to them one day."
-
He snorted. "Do you?"
-
"Not me," Jadestone chuckled. "I don't eat them enough. But you will."
