"Wow," Stillkit said, his light gray pelt dotted with dirt. "Mommy said you're really strong! She also said you came from somewhere else. What was it like? Do you like it here better?"

Drakestorm looked away, and memories flashed in his eyes. "I did come from somewhere else... InfernoClan. Yes, it's better here... much better. I can tell you what it's like there when... when you're older." He leaned against his mate, and licked her ear. When I'm able to talk about it, without getting too upset in front of a kit, he thought.

"I can't wait!" Stillkit said brightly, staring up at Drakestorm in awe. "Will I get a mentor? Who's gonna train me?"

"That's for Fernstar to decide." He said.

"I wanna train with you," Stillkit said. "You seem fun! Rainkit said that Fernstar told her that your mom was gonna train her."

He snorted. "I'm not sure if your father would approve of you training with me."

"Why not?" Stillkit said defiantly.

He glanced at Bluefly. "Should I tell him what I did?"

Bluefly considered the kit for a moment. "I don't know. Give him the story, but not the full details. Just say that you injured her."

He sighed. "Around a moon or so ago, when I was in the other clan, there was a border fight over a rabbit, and I injured your mother." He explained to the kit. "I had orders. Your father still thinks I'm a bad cat. But I'm not. Even so, you can believe whoever you want."

Stillkit thought for a moment. "I think I'll believe both of you!"

He snorted, and stalked out of the den, flicking his tail in frustration. "Ha. Why do I even try." He muttered, going back to the medicine den.

Stillkit followed him, full of questions. "What does a rabbit taste like? Is it really good? What does the forest look like? It's pretty, right?"

He flopped over in his makeshift nest and sat his head on his front paws. "Rabbit tastes like rabbit. It's as good as a rabbit is. The forest looks like trees and rocks and streams and fields, which basically is just forest."

"I wanna see it!" Stillkit said, who ironically was rarely still. "Why can't I see it now? Mommy says it's dangerous, but I don't know why."
