Sgrios paused at the shriek, swaying in place as his lightning slowly flickered out

Suddenly, something crashed through the ceiling. It landed near Sgrios. It then unfurled it's wings and reveled itself to be a giant phoenix, seemingly protecting Sgrios. The leader and the raiders were stunned but then suddenly dropped their weapons and bowed to the phoenix.

Sgrios' ears folded back as he looked up at the phoenix, breathing hard before falling over

The leader said "Oh, great Fire Bird, Have we displeased you?" The phoenix nodded and the leader was fearful. He pleaded "Oh please, have mercy. We'll do whatever you want." The phoenix used it's fire breath to burn the request, don't steal, kidnap or kill ever again." The leader fearfully said "Okay, we can do that, right everyone?" The other raiders fearfully agreed.

Sgrios tried to push himself back up, feeling dizy and exhausted

The phoenix looked at Sgrios and picked him up with it's beak to place him on it's back. It then walked to Yancy and did the same thing.

Sgrios squeaked a little when he was picked up but didnt fight it, turning his head to look at Yancy in concern

Yancy was hurt, but she figured she'd survive. A raider gave her back her stuff, including Jon and her scythe. The phoenix then flew back out the way it came and began flying them away from the hideout.

Sgrios quickly closed his eyes when they started flying, hisnewrs pinned back as he tried to stay calm

The phoenix flew at a steady pace and Yancy began applying the healing herbs she had to her and Sgrios. She said "I can't believe this. We're riding an actual phoenix."

Sgrios made a quiet sound of agreement, using his sleeve to clean the blood off his face

Jon said "I wonder where it's taking us." Yancy looked over the edge and said "Looks like to Claystone Canyon."

"thats a good thing right?" Sgrios asked, sounding tired

Yancy said "Well yeah. It gets us closer to the Thunder Mountains."

"cool. Ima take a nap" Sgrios mumbled before passing out
