The raiders soon captured Yancy by putting her in a net and stealing her scythe. They then turned their attention to Sgrios and began attacking him.

Sgrios whipped his tail around as he tried to defend himself, but was quickly overwhelmed

The raiders soon captured him as well and put him in the same net as Yancy. They all shouted in victory and began dragging them back to their hideout a small ways away from their ambush.

Sgrios growled angrily at them, but tried to make sure Yancy was ok

Yancy was hurt but otherwise okay. The raiders soon took them to a building and brought them inside. They threw them inside of some cells underground and left them there for now. Yancy said "I can't believe it. One month of practically nothing and then we get kidnapped."

"sorry. This was probably caused by my luck" Sgrios said quietly, sitting up slowly

Yancy said "It's not your fault. The raiders are just smarter then I thought. But what happened with your magic back there?"

Sgrios shook his head "i dont know" he said, seeming mildly distressed as he looked at his hands

Yancy said "Well, I guess we better enjoy our final moments, however short they'll be. Soon the leader will come around and either execute us, force us to join or sacrifice us to some made up phoenix god."

Sgrios grimaced "fan f---ing tastic" he grumbled

Yancy said "So if you die by execution, are you then sent back to the gods, are are you just dead?"

Sgrios went quiet, his ears drooping "i think we just fade." he said quietly

Yancy said "I see. I hope Zetelac won't be hard on me for helping you. If he even knows I'm helping you."

Sgrios shrugged "i doubt he knows"

Yancy said "You're probably right."
A few minutes later, the raiders returned with their leader. One raider said "We know one of them is a necromancer because she summoned skeletons as back up. We're not sure what her creature is, but it looks like the god of destruction, Sgrios."
