(Alright.)
This is the way it went for the next two weeks. Thankfully very few fire spirits to fight and no raiders had found them at all. Yancy said "We're almost there. Just a few more days at our steady pace and we'll be in Claystone Canyon." -
Sgrios gave a low hum in response, rubbing at his chest. A slight acheing pain had started up a few days ago, and he still wasnt sure what to think of it

Yancy saw him rubbing his chest. She was slightly worried as this could mean his body is starting to deteriorate which meant they were beginning to run on borrowed time. Still she kept walking to go forward with their journey.

His ears twitched and he let his hand drop, turning his head to the left as he continued following her

Unknown to either of them, they were being followed by an unseen group. These people had ideas and not good ones. They decided now is the time to strike.

Sgrios frowned stopping as he heard something. His tail started twitching in irritation as he spoke "I think we are being followed."

Yancy stopped as well and pulled out her scythe in response. Everything was dead quiet. Suddenly a voice shouted "ATTACK!" and suddenly a large group of raiders came barreling in with their weapons.

Sgrios hissed and lightning crackled around him angrily, the former god wincing slightly as the pain in his chest sharpened before he lunged forward to attack

The raiders had swords, clubs, maces and some even used magic. Yancy used some of her own magic to spawn a few skeletons to fight. She then used her scythe to fight some of the raiders
(I do intend on them being captured for story reasons if that's okay. Doesn't need to be immediate just letting you know.) -

Sgrios decided to go after the magic users, firing lighting from hia tail -
Some of the magic users blocked Sgrios' attack while others were hit. They then focused their attacks on Sgrios. Yancy and the skeletons were holding their won but it started looking like the tide was about to turn.

Sgrios backed up, not wanting to get hit. He focused on longer ranged lightning strikes, alarm shooting through him when he realised it was getting harder for him to draw up his magic for use

The raiders soon destroyed Yancy's skeletons and started to overwhelm her. She said "Sgrios." as they swarmed her.

Sgrios' head snapped towards her when he heard his name and he tried to rush over to help her
