Sgrios growled lowly at his name, his tail dragging over the ground as he glared at the humans

The leader looked at Sgrios closely. He used his fire magic to shine more light. He then said "This creature isn't Sgrios. It looks too scrawny and weak."

Sgrios snarled angrily, surging to his feet as lighting crackled wildly around him while his tail lashed

The leader backed away and said "Having lightning powers doesn't make it so." He then turned to the others and said "The fire bird has no use for a necromancer and her pet. And neither do we. Execute them."

Sgrios continued glaring, his eyelights and markings glowing brighter as he drew more magic from his reserves, ignoring the shearing pain in his chest as he did. Lightning wove around him, rune engraved into his bones glowing bright enough to be seen through his clothes before he surged forward in a roar of thunder, the lighting ripping through the metal bars and stone in his path

The leader and raiders were surprised by the sudden surge and knocked out. Other raiders came charging in to corral Sgrios.

Sgrios shrieked in rage and swung his tail, lightning arcing out like a whip at them as he lunged at them

Some of the raiders were flung back but others tried to use spears to stab Sgrios to kill him. One even tried using Yancy's scythe.

Sgrios snarled in pain when one of the spears hit his ribs, grabbing it and breaking it. Black blood started dripping from his lower eyes as his magic burned through him, but he ignored it in favor of killing one of the raiders

Yancy tried to help but the leader woke up and blasted her with a fire ball. She was knocked back and injured. The leader then stood up and began blasting Sgrios with fire.

Sgrios screeched in response and blasted lightning at him, ignoring the burning pain and sharp scent of charred fur as he lunged at the leader

The leader summoned a fire shield to block the lightning and continued to bombard Sgrios with fire while the other raiders continued to stab him

Sgrios roared at them as he twisted around, weaving lightning around himself to ward off the spears but was starting to weaken, blood flowing from hus upper eyes as well now

The leader saw Sgrios weakening and press the onslaught. It all seemed hopeless until suddenly a large shrieking sound almost like a giant bird was heard and everyone stopped.
