Yancy just rolled her eyes and Jon said "Gods, hard to impress."
A few hours later, the phoenix started to slow down and begin to land right in the middle of Claystone Canyon. -
Sgrios woke up and looked around, wincing at the lingering pain in his chest

The phoenix landed and let Yancy and Sgrios off. Jon asked "Why are we stopping?"

Sgrios slid off the Pheonix, stumbling a little when he hit the ground

Yancy got off and said "I guess it can't fly us anymore." The phoenix nodded and then flew off again. Now they were in the middle of Claystone Canyon, home to many a golem and a few desert dwelling animals.

Sgrios watched the phoenix fly away before looking at Yancy "so now what"

Yancy emptied her bag full of horse bones and reresurrected the skeleton horse. She then got on it and said "Now we ride."

Sgrios nodded and hopped up with her, curling his tail around her

The horse faired better than it would have in Fire Bird Roost. Most of the creatures here were non-threatening so long as you didn't hurt them. The only trouble is the sand worms but they can't burrow through rock, so for now they were safe in the canyon.

Sgrios relaxed as he watched the landscape pass by, humming softly to himself

Soon the horse reached the end of the canyon and the beginning of the large expanse of sand where sand worms could attack if you weren't careful. Yancy said "Alright, we're about to go into dangerous territory. Be on your guard."

Sgrios looked at her and nodded "understood" he said

Yancy made the horse go at a steady pace to get through the desert quick but not so quick as to disturb a sand worm that could be lurking under the surface.

Sgrios closed his eyes, focusing on trying to sense anything living around them

Soon night began to fall again and Yancy looked for a suitable rock surface to sleep on so they don't get surprised by the sand worms.
