Ardis felt tired, and her arm slowly drooped as she fought to stay awake.

Phen kept his wing up to shelter her

Ardis felt herself falling asleep, despite her efforts not to.

Phen watched her in amusement before he looked out atthe dark sky

Ardis dreamed that she was in an underground tunnel. She brushed her fingers against its walls.

Phen sighed and then started meditating

Ardis stirred, then woke up, ashamed that she had fallen asleep. "Sorry," she murmured.

He opened his eyes to look at her. "Its fine

She stretched. "I need to work on that," she said. "But at least it stopped raining so much."

He nodded, humming

Ardis tapped her foot out tentatively. "Hmm. It's not so bad."
The horses whinnied contemptuously, having tried to find the best shelter they could. -
Phen snorted at the horses

The horses became quieter, but still stamped their hooves miserably until Ardis fed them. She heaved herself onto her horse's back.

Phen grunted as he pulled himself onto his horse, his wing/arm feeling a little sore
