He tilted his head "well, it mostly about intent and understanding

"But how could I do it if I don't have any powers? I'm not one of your kind," Ardis said sadly.

"Well, humans can learn to do it, and their one of the less magical species, so why not? It doesnt actually take much magic to do, though the more magic you have the less time you have to wait between breaths

"Okay," Ardis said. "Then it'll take eons."

He paused "well. Do you have any particular elemental affinity that you know of?

"Nope," Ardis said unhelpfully.

He frowned "hm. Well, we'll need to figure that out first, its easier to start with an element your close to.

"Okay. Plants are no good, wind hates me, and as you can tell, fire is painful and I'm DEFINITELY not ice," Ardis said.

He hummed "that leaves lightning, water, poison, darkness, and fear" he said
