James looked around. They were in a sterile white room, and he knew immediately that this was one of his fears.
"Close your eyes," he said to Gaynor, before shackles tightened around his wrists. -
(It's made of metal.)
Gaynor made a face, especially when shackles enclosed his wrists, but did so anyways. -
(The street lamps?)
James felt himself secured to a chair, the shackles tightening around his wrists. A large needle filled with sickly green fluid stuck into his arm, and he felt weak and heavy. -
(A Key.)
Gaynor kept her eyes closed, despite the growing tension in the room. -
(What about the last few lines?)
James heard voices all around him, and a searing pain throughout his entire body.
"This is what happens to malfunctions, 02084," the voice said. "This is what happens to those who rebel."
He told himself that none of it was real, and forced himself to stay still. Suddenly, it all faded away.
(Memory/fear, I'm too cruel to poor James) -

Gaynor, sensing that James's thing was over, opened her eyes. -

James stood up, brushing himself off. "I believe this must be your fear." -

Suddenly, Gaynor was in a cage, with no door, no nothing.
"You really thought you could defeat us?" several menacing voices echoed. "Kill us, even? We're not so easily destroyed."
Gaynor put her head in her hands to try and get the voices out. -

James turned and saw Gaynor in a cage.
"Gaynor?" he said, grabbing the bars. "Gaynor!"
