"Alright, then," Gaynor said. She seemed satisfied. "So I have to act hard, but not defiant. That'll be hard," she mumbled.
-
"Just obey your superiors and triumph over those who are of lower status," he said, lifting a grate. "The coast is clear. Come."
He climbed out of the tunnel with 84 under his arm and reached his hand out to Gaynor. -
Gaynor took his hand, and climbed out.
-
He pulled K-9 out and opened a control room door. He put a silencer on his gun and shot the two people sitting there.
84 padded over to the control system, hacking into it. James held his gun at his side. -
"They're not deady, are they?" Gaynor asked, looking at one of the shot men.
-
(dead*)
-
(I'M dying, XD)
"No," James said, examining one of his bullets. "They're in a condensed sleep, and they won't wake up unless they're restored." -
(No, you're deadying.)
"Alright," Gaynor said, not asking what restored was supposed to mean. She waited until 84 moved away from the control system. Assuming that her file had now been made, she set the two people upright in their chair to make them look like they were still awake, and walked out of the room. -
They reached a metal scanning door. "03029 and 02084 reporting for duty. Subject: Training. Trainer: 02084. Apprentice: 03029," James said. The door whirred and clicked before glowing green and letting them through.
"Here is a gun," James said, giving her a gun. "You know how to use one?" -
"Not really," Gaynor said. "I've only ever used my sword and dagger." she said, lifting up her sheathed sword.
-
"You might have need of a gun in the future," he said. "The council room is not far from here."
He shot a few more people with the special bullets before putting in the real metal ones. In front of them were large metal doors. -
"Will they find my sword and dagger strange?" Gaynor asked.
-
"Well if you're threatening to kill them, that will be the least of their problems."
-
"Anyway to lock the doors?" Gaynor asked.
-
"Yes, 84 is already overriding the locking mechanism so that he can open and close it at will," James said. There was a loud click and the doors swung open, revealing the many council members. They all looked disturbed.
"Excuse you, 02084," an old man said at the end of the table. "But we are discussing matters of great urgency. Please leave."
