The lion had a rather bored expression, to the contrary of Kinigua, who was eyeing him with every sign of distaste.
"Because she has Boulder Pride blood in her veins," the lion chuckled. "Didn't she tell you that she was only half-pride born?"
Kinigua growled at him. -
Sauda growled, “Who cares, Kinigua doesn’t get foxes to kidnap lions, and she definitely doesn’t stand in the shadows like a weirdo!”
Oseye, “Exactly, no one cares! She’s our friend! Now please explain why you know this?” -
"Because-"
No one got to hear what he was going to say next, because Kinigua jumped into the air and attacked him, a slash of claws and teeth. He let out a shocked roar and tumbled to the ground. -
Oseye leaped back in surprise. After a few moments she ran to Kinigua and pulled her off of him, “Hey, I wanted to hear what he had to say!”
Sauda eyed Oseye angrily and lowered his head to the ground, “Just leave us.” He snarled. -
Kinigua was seething. "That's none of your business," she snapped. Then she looked apologetic. "Sorry."
The lion growled, now blind in one eye. "I'll be back!" he spat, before slinking away into a hole. -
Oseye flinched slightly, “It’s fine... anyways, can we just move on?” With an irritated glance at the shadows she slunk past her brother and friend.
-
Kinigua turned to look at Oseye. "What's up with the fox?"
-
“No clue.” She said, turning her head to look at Kinigua. “Let’s just move on.” She said with a slight growl.
Sauda nodded and followed his sister, eager to be somewhere other than here. -
Bump))
-
Kinigua nodded, and checked herself for injuries. There was a long slash on her flank, but it wasn't too deep. She hobbled after the two, her leg curled up underneath her.
The fox jumped down in front of them. "My deepest apologies, master." -
Oseye slowed so Kinigua could catch up, “Are you okay? Maybe we should stop for a bit to try to get some food and water.” Looking over at Sauda as he turned around and nodded in agreement. “Hm... I see a watering hole!” Happily, she ran over as the water got closer and closer. Finally, at the water’s edge she bent down to take a drink. The water was so refreshing, “There’s probably a lot of prey around here!”
-
(Pfft, the fox just got blown out of the water. Did you see the last bit I typed?)
Kinigua bounded over to the watering hole, and dipped her muzzle into it and drank. It was so refreshing, and she dipped her injured leg tentatively into the water. The sweltering heat of the sun had practically cooked it, and she sighed with relief. -
Sauda lapped up the water greedily. The cool water ran down his muzzle. “Ah, that’s much better.” He remarked after pulling himself out of the water. He shot a glance at Oseye, “At that rate, there isn’t going to be any water for the other animals!” With a small roar of laughter and looked around, “Speaking of other animals...”
-
Kinigua noticed all to well a pair of beady amber eyes and bristled. The fox.
"She's here," she growled to Oseye and Sauda. The said fox strutted amiably towards the lions, as if nothing had ever happened.
"I have come to offer you my loyal services," she said, her tail swishing. -
Oseye snarled, “Leave, you’ve already proven that you can’t be trusted.”
Sauda nodded, “We want nothing to do with you.”
