"Quite the contrary, in fact," the fox continued, her eyes glinting. "You see, I served that lion you met back there. He aided me in a time of need. But as you defeated him, my services are now pledged to you."
Kinigua bristled. What was the fox up to? -
“No.” Oseye stated, “I refuse to let you join us.”
Sauda glared at his sister, “What are you up to?” He growled, lowering his muzzle to meet hers. -
The fox looked incredibly miffed. "I think you misunderstand me. Until I can find a way to repay my debt, I am stuck...with you three."
-
“Come on, that lion didn’t do anything to you!” Sauda scoffed in disgust, “Fine, follow us but we won’t need you.”
-
The fox pricked her ears up, feeling a bit hopeful, and lapped some water up.
Kinigua eyed her warily. If this was another trick... -
Oseye shot an angry glance at Sauda, “What are you thinking? You’ve clearly gone crazy!”
-
The fox bristled, but kept quiet. She ached for vengeance. She could still feel the stinging of the wound on her back.
-
Oseye glared at the fox, “You are NOT coming with us.” She spat.
-
"Yes, I am," she snapped back. "Do you really think I want to stick around creatures who hate me? No, I'm getting out of here as soon as honor allows."
-
“Honor? Excuse me, but you have no honor.” Oseye remarked.
-
"You only say that because you have no mind," the fox replied stiffly.
"That's enough, both of you," Kinigua snapped. "This whole ordeal is exhausting enough as it is." -
“No mind.” Oseye scoffed under her breath. The fox was obnoxious, and frankly- no one wanted her around.
-
Kinigua got up and limped in a direction, any direction would do really. She was sick of being weak, and she was sick of being helpless and lost.
-
Sauda trotted after Kinigua, “Let’s just get of here.”
Oseye shuddered, “Goodbye, I’ve got better things to do than argue with a fox.” -
Kinigua gave Sauda a grateful glance and continued on. "The new Sun Pride leader," she said, clearly showing her distaste. "Said something about starting a new pride."
The fox trotted after them, her ears flattened and her tail swishing agitatedly. There was no way they'd understand the code of her kind.
