(I meant that you were the first to do it sorry, my autocorrect switches my positives and negatives a lot and I have no idea why. )
( sweet! Thank you so much, I’ve recently gotten obsessed because of a friend of mine. It’s done wonders for my confidence.)
( I’ll eat my vegetables I promise.)
“ well. It all started when I built a robot that went out of control while my sister brought over her children.” Smokey explained.
“ and so I had to sue magic to destroy the robots but I didn’t take their volatile cores into account.” She starts.
“ well I have cupcakes and rice crackers.” -
(quick bump so I can find this later)
-
(Thank you again for your patience. ^-^)
"That... sounds really bad. Was anyone hurt?"
Sekhmet wondered briefly if there was any kind of condition that could explain the dismissive tone and fickle train of thought Smokey had, and then wondered if it really mattered. She headed back the way the two had come, trying not to get too comfortable walking around this house full of surprises. -
( it’s okay! I’ve taken long times to respond as well ^-^ I’m fine with waiting and stuff since I know how hectic life can get, or when you just feel unmotivated.)
“ Well...I was a little burnt but my sister and her foals were fine. Little munchkins are banned from my house though, it’s really...dangerous.” She says fondly,
“ my house is supposed to be on the verge of sentience...since my Last partner and I never got to....” smokey cut herself off. “ but young ponies like natural destruction.”
( smokey is chaotic good. ) -
(sentience?)
-
She’s being incredibly over dramatic, but basically her house is on the verge of having a function similar to an Alexa? It’s still a W.i.p. So while it’s not actually anywhere near the ability to think for itself Smokey is extra as all heck.)
-
When they found the kitchen, Sekhmet took a seat in the most unassuming spot she could find on the floor, careful not to touch anything.
"I wouldn't mind some rice crackers, if that's alright. And what do you mean, sentient? Is that voice that announced us when we walked in intelligent?" -
(Is this an open RP, 'cause this is one of the few genres I've been RPing over the years)
-
(It wasn't, but I wouldn't mind an addition if Marrow is alright with it. I kinda just brought this back from the dead, so she might not even want to do it anymore.)
-
(Marrow is cool with it, what role are you wanting to play?)
-
“ well...it’s not at the level of free thought yet, but I’m always trying to create items to actually help assist those without easy access to magic.” Smokey explained. “ my sister is a unicorn, but when we were in our teens her horn ended up snapped, and earth ponies are born without any kind of magic, “ she says.
“ sometimes I feel that science and magic should be equals...but most ponies aren’t ready to have that conversation.” She says smiling as she brings out the rice crackers, -
Sekhmet stared at her in awe as she accepted a couple crackers and munched on one thoughtfully.
"It seems like you've put a lot of thought into this." she said, slowly. She needed more time to process the information given to her, so she chose something more frivolous to focus on for the time being. "Would you show me what else your house can do?" -
Smokey practically began to vibrate with excitement.
“ I can do that!” She announces. “ H.O.U.S.E, commence shape phase!” She calls.
The house begins to shake and the room they’re in begins to rise.
“ I change the shape of the house...every so often. Helps keep intruders out, and if any manage to get in, hopelessly lost” -
"Oh, sweet Celestia!" Sekhmet cried out, hunkering down in her place on the floor as everything began to shift around them and coughing out what remained of the cracker in her mouth. The remaining treats that had been levitating over her head all dropped now as she lost focus on her magic. She stayed frozen in place, eyes shut tight until it was over. When everything was still again, it took her a few seconds to convince herself to stand back up, and when she spoke, her voice shook a little.
"Can we not do that again? I just thought your house might play music or something. That was..." she trailed off and chose not to put the word "scary" between them. Her paranoia was something she'd rather not advertise, although she was sure she'd already effectively done just that by the way she'd reacted. This house was a little much for her right now. She shook her head, gathering up the broken crackers from the floor and throwing them away.
"Maybe we could go out to eat? Talk a little more there? I'm a little hungrier than just crackers anyway." she said, trying to sound casual. -
Smokey looked a little confused but nodded. “ okay! I have to admit I don’t really get out much. I’m better with machines.” She shrugs. “ other ponies...are interesting through!” She says cheerfully as she starts to hound down the oddly shaped stairs.
