Youta has gathered all of the takeout menus they had and was trying to decide what he should order, since he didn’t feel up to cooking, with his nerves.
Youth sighed.
Minako and Tatsuya we’re sitting in the front garden peering over the gates, which they had managed to climb, waiting to press the button to allow Asher inside.
Youta was planning to do it from inside, but they wanted to meet their brothers possible secret boyfriend. -
Asher pulled up to the address that Youta sent. His house was pretty big, not surprising considering that Youta has to take care of three teenagers. There was a gate in the frontyard, and Asher wasn't sure if how and where he'd park.
"Umm.. anybody there?" Asher called at the front gate. He checked himself in the mirror; he hadn't been sure on what to wear or if he should've put on different clothes so Asher had on the same outfit from meeting at the library earlier, with the addition of a white turtleneck and blazer. His long hair was in a ponytail, as per usual. -
Minako buzzed him in with a grin. Youta has bandaged up her injuries. “ hello! I’m Ito Minako! You can call me Mina though!” She says cheerfully.
“ and I’m Ito Tatsuya! You can call me Tatsuya! “ the silver haired youth said excitedly. “ hey! Are you big brothers boyfri-“
“ alright, that’s enough.” An embarrassed Youta says as he shoos the two teenagers away. “ I can’t believe there’s a day where Ejirou is the best behaved.” He mutters.
“ I I’m glad you c came” youta mumbles quietly, -
"Nice to meet you guys," Asher said with a smile. His hands were behind his back, seeming to be hiding a surprise of some sort. He had already met Minako but of course he had to pretend that he didn't know her. Asher blushed whenever Tatsuya began to ask if Asher is Youta's boyfriend. He didn't exactly have an answer for Tatsuya, so he was glad that Youta came and intervened.
"I'm glad that you invited me," Asher replies to Youta. He reveals the thing that was behind him, and it was icecream, "I brought icecream," he says with a smile. "Nothing fancy, I stopped on the store on the way here. Didn't know what kind you guys would like, so I got neapolitan," Asher said. -
Mina is peering out of the house, and she grins. “ Big brother likes Vanilla!” She calls cackling. Youta’s face turns the same colour as the strawberry ice cream.
“...th-their at the worst age.” Youta said not wanting to discuss his sexual preferences on the first date. “ I like strawberry.” He answers gently.
“ ...I have menus from everywhere in the city so it’s really up to you what we order, because none of us can decide.”
“ f--- YOU DUOLINGO OWL!” comes the yell of a previously unknown fourteen year old as Ejirou made himself known.
“ ...not again.”youta sighs -
Asher chuckles a little awkwardly when Minako shouted the joke. His face couldn't possibly get any redder. With a free hand, he twiddled with his hair, not even noticing that he was doing it.
"I'm impartial when it comes to food, though I suppose that I've been craving Chinese for a while," Asher says, just as Ejirou yells. "Again? What's happening?" Asher asks Youta curiously. His siblings were certainly an.. interesting bunch, to say the least. He could tell that Youta loved them a lot though, despite their shenanigans. -
“ that sounds good, and it will be the one least likely to cause a debate about the duolingo owl.” Youta sighed offering a hand to Asher.
“ you...you really don’t want to know.” He laughs lightly as he smiles at Asher. “ ...they’re good kids though, I promise, just a little shaken up today...I I don’t know if you heard the news about the hero jolt? He...he kidnapped Minako.” -
Asher takes Youta's hand. He really wanted to ask how food choices could lead to a debate about an owl on an app that hekps you learn different languages, but Asher decided to let it go with a shrug.
"Ah, yeah, I've heard the news. I believe that Jolt was taken into custody afterwards," Asher said. He wasn't sure how much he, a 'normal civilian' was supposed to know about the situation, since he hadn't watched the news on the way there. Ah, what a stupid decision. Now if it seemed that Asher knew too much it'd be suspicious.
"I hope she's alright, I saw her bandages," Asher said. "I hear icecream is good comfort food though," Asher said, giving Youta's hand a little squeeze to show his support. -
Youta leads him into the house, where three teenagers are attempting to do the lucky star dance, with varying degrees of success.
Mina and Ejirou are stuck in a tangle of limbs and Tatsuya is stuck in the gap between the couch and wall.
Youta snorts as he almost manifests a tentacle to pick him up, but Ejirou notices and pulls him out of the couch gap with a snort.
Youta reads through the menu. “ hmm...so many choices,” he hums. He was really hungry... -
Asher laughs at the situation. Asher always covered his mouth whenever he laughed, though it was kind of a force of habit. Youta's siblings were crazy, but in a good way. Asher definitely wanted to know more about Youta, to get closer to him.
Speaking of getting closer, that's exactly what he did. Asher took a step close to Youta, he wanted to wrap both his arms around him but settled on putting an arm around his shoulder instead. "I'd like shrimp fried rice, if you don't mind. It was a family favorite, I grew up on that stuff," Asher said, inches from Youta's face. -
The kids seemed t9 be arguing about what they wanted to eat, since they were so used to Youta overloading on food they usually didn’t have to choose anything too specific.
Youta blushed darkly and wrapped his arm around Asher. “ o-of course a anything you’d like.” He said happily. “I is this alright?” He asks him shyly, afraid of scaring him off. -
"Of course it's alright," Asher said, laying his head on top of Youta's. Asher may have been tall and slightly intimidating, but he was a huge softie for hugs and things of that nature. He wished he could stay like this forever, in the arms of Youta, but he knew the moment wouldn't last long.
Despite this being the first date, Asher really wanted things to work out with Youta. He'd never really been in a serious relationship, but there was something special about him -
“ I think I’m going to have a special chow mien.” Youta said, burying his face into Asher’s chest. Normally Youta wouldn’t trust as easily as this, but there was something about this man.
Besides if worst came to worst, who was his man when it came to fighting Apophis? He hoped it would never be a possibility.
The kids quickly told their brother what they wanted before all three went outside to play. There were some interesting choice words In So many different languages.
Shakily, Youta ordered the food. Then he hummed. “ would you like me to show you around?” He asks softly. -
Asher waves as a parting gesture when the kids when outside. He nodded at Youta's question, "I'd love that. Your house is awesome, if DG keeps on persisting about trying to get you guys out of the area, I'll chain myself here or something. You guys have rights y'know," Asher said. "I'd defend you to the very end."
"If that doesn't work, the offer of living with me still stands. I don't mind," Asher said. He ran a hand gently through Youta's hair, it was soft. -
“ I think we’ll be fine for a few more days at least while I get my lawyer involved.” Youta chuckled gently as he leads him around the house, and shows him every unlocked room. Mina’s room is filled with illegal Apollo’s merchandise on one side, and Chiro merch on the other,
“ oh god, I thought she took that down.” He says seeing the Chiophis shipping shrine with all kinds of fanart thankfully all safe for work.
“ Minako is a massive troll, so she often pulls small pranks like this.” A very concerned Tatsuya says,
