“...well according to this statement, Apophis had been blackmailing her into leaking information to his crime syndicate...which doesn’t fit his usual M.O.” he comments quietly as they walk to the cafe.
“ The fight last night was so close to my house, that apparently I need to find another place to live while the DG investigate the scene.” He sighs as he reads the list of addresses.
“ Honestly, I wish they would take an interest in the lives of civilians, there’s many families in those apartments, who can’t afford a hotel while they mess around trying to find clues on someone who is notorious for not leaving clues.” -

The news mentioned that some people living near the attack would need to seek other accommodation while the DG investigated the area.
“ ...my address is listed...despite being private property.” He says annoyed. “ The DG have gotten so big headed recently, taking the success of the number one here Chiro, as their own.” -

His slim fingers entertwined with Ashers.
Youta checked his phone again, and he scowled when he saw the most recent update.

Asher loved the feeling of Youta's fingers within his. Though, he'd have to be careful talking about hero politics.
"I'm sure it was vice versa, the girl had probably been trying blackmail the big fish, too big for even her to handle, and it ended poorly," Asher said. He loved making theories, but he had to make sure it seemed like he knew just as much as the common people.
"Apophis is definitely a vigilante, I'd defend him if it came down to it," Asher said, realizing how true the words were as soon as they left his mouth. Chiro had defended Apophis only a little while ago, maybe subconsciously he knew that Apophis was good.
"DG does some dumb things like that," Asher said with a half hearted smile, almost apologetic. "You can stay with me if you want," Asher said. He supposed he wasn't like the other heroes, battling enemy after enemy and throwing the wreckage and lives affected under the bus. Asher wanted to help, really and truly. -
“That’s definitely it.” Youta agreed squeezing hand hand lightly. “ I think you’d like my brother Tatsuya, he loves hero theories.” He says smiling fondly, thinking about his beloved brother.
“ I agree, though his methods leave... a lot to be desired, he’s never hurt anyone who doesn’t deserve it. The DG seem convinced he’s going to start farming children with superhuman abilities and eat them, which is a load of s---.”
Youta subtly tenses realising he’s said a little too much,
“ ...t that’s awfully nice of you, but I have three fourteen eyed olds at home, and we just met, and I wouldn’t want to be a bother, and-“ he kept trying to make excuses while his face turned red.
“ if it comes down to it, this isn’t the first time I’ve faced down with the DG on a legal front, for whatever reason they seem interestedly I’m getting into my property for some reason, I suppose it’s to do with the properties in the river that runs through it.” He hums. -
Asher laughed at the thought of Apophis doing something so evil, running a little school of superchildren, only to eat their hearts. "Sorry, I- well, I can't imagine that!" Asher said. "Asher doesn't give me supervillain vibes at all," Asher started, but then added, "I mean, from what I've seen of him, on the news and such."
"I honestly wouldn't mind at all, you and your siblings are always welcome," Asher said with a warm smile. "I have three extra bedrooms, I usually use them to house guests or family members," Asher explained. "What do you mean by properties in the river?" He asked. -
“ I agree.” Youta says smiling gently. “ actually the DG we’re warning people to keep super children in their homes and stuff, to me that’s just preventing them from making friends..thus making them easier to recruit...I’m probably just a paranoid person.” He comments,
“..that’s three rooms for four people.” He hums. “ oh, the property was allegedly blessed by a spirit, so the river has healing properties, since I’ve purchased all of the available land they can’t get to it or take advantage of it.” -
“ I agree.” Youta says smiling gently. “ actually the DG we’re warning people to keep super children in their homes and stuff, to me that’s just preventing them from making friends..thus making them easier to recruit...I’m probably just a paranoid person.” He comments,
“..that’s three rooms for four people.” He hums. “ I could take the couch, if you’re sure about this” youta says seriously “ oh...it’s...kind of a secret! I’m so sorry! I’m not supposed to share the knowledge with anyone , the dg found out through other means.” He apologises quickly
He almost walks into the sign that has the Coffee shops mini menu on it because of his shyness, and apologising for not being able to tell Asher the secret. -
Asher frowned at the news that superchildren were instructed to be hidden. He'd have to try and talk to the CEO of DG, or if not her then atleast some other people who work there. They'd probably listen since he was one of their top heroes. "You're not paranoid, most people who grow up to be villains are the ones with a lonely childhood," Asher said darkly.
"Nonsense, you can have my bed," Asher said, waving away the couch idea. "How did the DG find out about the river? Is it really all that important?" Asher asked as he helped Youta around the shop sign and held open the door for him. -
“ That’s true...but it also makes them vulnerable to being recruited as child soilders. If there’s no record of them I’m the public school system.” He mumbles softly.
“I -I couldn’t possibly displace you from y-your own bed.” The anxious bean says shaking his head. “ well...the river is called the river of the sun eater,I-I can’t say anymore.” He said softly. “...it leads to a cave filled with crystals that can enhance powers, I wouldn’t know myself, but I’m raising three super children.” He says softly.
“ it’s important to my family, and thus it’s important to me. I think they had been trying to buy the property but something on their end went wrong.” He comments. “ or it could have been my sisters best friend having a luck power.” He says with a playful smile.
“ On the subject of that, I should probably let you know about what their superpowers do before they come to stay, given that all three can be quite destructive.” He sighs gently.
“ Minako can create a powerful acid from her body, Ejirou can harden his body to avoid damage, but also making himself stronger and causing his skin to spike, Tatsuya can turn his body into iron.” He says smiling softly. It was clear how much this man cared for these children.
“ they’re adopted, I found them all when I was much younger, they only had each other. So I took them in.” He says quietly,
This is when his work phone goes.
He sighs.
“ I’m very sorry to cut this short, but there’s a problem at work, and it will take a while.” He says as he stands up.
“I will...I’ll text you my address and you can come over for dinner tonight, m-meet my siblings and see if you’re really okay with letting us stay.” He says before he darts out of the cafe.
Ten minutes later Apophis stands perched on a statue, looking for his newest victim. A hero who had been involved in kidnapping super children. -
"Ah, I'll see you tonight, then," Asher says as Youta walks away. He calls DG's secretary, Victoria, and leaves a message for her to cancel any plans he had later today. He had two seperate phones for hero business and personal business, no one, not even the DG corporation, knew his real identity.
A minute later, as Asher is standing outside the cafe, he gets a call back from Victoria. "You're not busy now though, are you?" She asks him. Asher thinks for a second, "I suppose not," he replies. "Apophis has been sighted on a statue downtown," she instructs him simply, then hangs up.
Asher sighs, but he supposes that he now had the chance to talk more to Apophis. That lucky vigilante, it was a great thing that DG didn't assign another hero. -
Apophis jumps over to a group of children trying to get their friend out of a tree.
“ what the problem?”he asks playfully.
They look worried. “Umm...Kyle got dared to climb a tree..b-but he doesn’t know how to get down.” One of the kids mutters.
“ Kyle, stay very still.” Apophis says as he climbs up into the tree and offers the little boy his hand.
“ don’t worry, I’m not going to hurt you, I used to get stuck in trees all the time.”the vigilante says softly,
Apophis sets Kyle down.
“ now, you kids should run off home, it’s going to get dangerous here.” He says sternly,
They run off,
Apophis stalks over to the alley way where the hero is waiting to meet his next supplier...when he catches sight of a terrified girl with pink hair in the heroes grasps.
He loses his composure,
“ wow...a child trafficking hero.” He says darkly.
Minako’s eyes widen as she tries to tell Apophis to run.
( can you play the hero? He has energy powers, and Minako is the acid girl ! And Youtas sister.) -

Chiro came onto the scene, though he stayed hidden to watch how it all played out. He didn't get to see Apophis helping the child down from the tree, though he saw the encounter with Apophis and Jolt, a fellow hero that Chiro saw around DG sometimes. He frowned at the sight of Jolt holding a pink haired girl captive. What in the world was he doing?
"Child trafficking? Oh, I'd barely call it that," Jolt said, very shaky and twitchy; usually a nice quirk to his personality, but now it seemed more dangerous and crazy, "More like a side business of sorts- these top heroes think they're all that, but the mid and lowtier heroes don't get any recognition," Jolt said. He was holding the girl by the neck, one hand next to her face, ready to blast her brains out if Apophis made a move.
Chiro couldn't believe what he was seeing. Jolt was different than that other corrupted hero with the teleportation powers, she was someone you'd expect to turn bad, but Jolt was a fun-loving guy. -

Apophis glares at him. “ Side job? Kidnapping children, and selling them to be abused, and mistreated, criminals like you make me sick.” Apophis hisses.
“ Let her go.” He snarls.
“ l-leave him alone jolt!” Minako says struggling.
“ stay still M- kid, “ apophis says softly. “ Jolt. If you let Herndon’s go, you can walk away from this.” He lies , having to work so hard to hide such an easy falsehood. -
