"No, you're fine," Asher replies to Youta with a warm smile. He was interested to see that the doorman greeted Youta with familiarity, Youta was obviously a person of many good acquaintances. Youta was so kindhearted, so funny and lovable.. Asher just couldn't seem to wrap his head around the fact that Vampyr was his brother. Lost in thought, Asher began to twiddle with his fingers.
Asher picked up the menu to see the options and distract himself from his slight funk. Hero and villain business was tricky, he hoped Youta wasn't in over his head with his superhuman siblings. -
Youta returned his warm smile with one so full of love,it even surprised Youta himself. Youta stood up.
“ I’m going to get some food,I will be right back.” Youta promised and he went over to the seafood station.
Youta’s phone which was on the table began to ring, with the request of a video call. The caller i.d was down as Mackenzie.
From the text she had just sent it seemed to be important. -
"Alrighty," Asher said, waving as Youta went off to the food stations. He jumped slightly when Youta's phone began to ring, then chuckled at the irony. A big hero, frightened of a phone call!
Asher didn't mean to be nosy, but Youta's phone was turned upwards and he could see that the caller ID was someone named Mackenzie. He was torn on whether he should answer or not, it seemed really important. His indecision lasted too long though, and the call ended. Asher picked up the phone, opting to just go take it to Youta at the seafood station. -
As he walked over the phone rang again, another call from Mackenzie.
Youta noticed and smiled. “ ah, that’s probably important.” He said as he gently plucked the phone from his boyfriends hands as he put it on speaker, as they walked back to the table.
“ Youta, what exactly happened in here?” A voice, so clearly belonging to the beastly villain, the sheriff, spoke.
Youta sighed.
“ someone tried to make pancakes.” Youta told her pinching his brow in exasperation.
There was a pause, and then a loud boisterous laugh, so unlike the sheriffs menacing chuckle.
“ You let Damien in your kitchen? Speaking of that loser, he said you have a new boyfriend?” Sherif laughed, this time it sounded fake. She was forcing it.
“ yeah, Asher this is my elder sister, Mackenzie, say hi.” He said as he held the phone up in Asher’s direction.
The women had short blonde hair, and startling green eyes. Once the phone was only visible to Asher her eyes flashed yellow.
It appeared Damien had told her who he was.
“ Asher was it? Nice to meet my brothers boyfriend.” -
"Oh, nice to meet you too," Asher replied hesitantly to the Sheriff, another super-powered sibling of Youta's. She obviously knew about Asher's secret, which he would definitely have to yell at Damien about later. He tried to appear calm for Youta's sake.
Damn, how many family members did Youta have with these dastardly people? The three 14 year olds seemed okay, but Asher felt like a target was on his back with the other half of Youta's family. There was no way he could turn them in either, that would make Youta heartbroken. -
( there’s going to be like...an entire organisation of people. Youta is going to show him a group photo. Obviously we know that Youta knows, but he just seems super oblivious.)
(he says that but Tatsuya has probably killed a man.)
(Yell at the vampire b----, do it.)
“ well, I’ll be in town for a few days then, you’ve got some other issues with the house I’ll be fixing.” ,Mackenzie says.
“ and Damien.”
“ the house is fine, and what issues is Damien having?” Youta asks.
“ Damien is just an issue in general, and come on baby brother, I only see you around twice a year, when I come out from home.” The blonde says. “ And I’ll get to meet your boyfriend.”
Youta sighs. “ alright fine! But dinner is going on your credit card!” Youta huffs as he reaches for Asher’s hand and squeezes it. -
Asher chuckled at Mackenzie saying that Damien was an issue, probably one of the few things he could agree on with her. "Oh, I can't wait to meet you as well. It'll be an honor to meet another one of Youta's family members," Asher said with the fakest of smiles.
When Youta takes Asher hand he, almost instinctively, lifts it and places another kiss on the back of Youta's hand. "Everything's gonnna turn out great," Asher says, reassuring himself as much as he was reassuring Youta. -
Youta nods slowly. He hangs up on Mackenzie and quickly goes and grabs the food he had been eyeing up before coming back the table.
Youta has just finished plate one, when his other phone goes. Youta scowls. “ I’m sorry love, but that’s work, I need to go check up on something. I’ll call you when I’m done one, and you can spend the night again...i-if you want!”the anxiety bean says before he rushes out.
Apophis is quickly in the middle of the city, a bottle of his special emergency pills in his hand. With Damien’s bulls---, he didn’t have enough time to stock up on any useful food.
Apophis sighed as he surveyed the area. He had been instructed by Mei to recover a stolen mask. He hadn’t asked for details. Then she would have explained! -
"No problem, I'm just a call away," Asher says with a wave goodbye to his boyfriend. He used this chance to walk over to the table Damien and the kids were at. "I've got a bone to pick with you," Asher says to him blatantly.
Asher had every intention of yelling at Damien, but he was quiet for the moment considering that he was at a public place and didn't want to cause a scene. -
“ sure, sure,” Damien shrugged. “ let’s move over to...a private area.” He said smirking as he led Asher over to the main part.
“ now what is this about?”

Apophis smashed open the store window and started shoving all of the items on the list into a bag. -
"Why'd you tell MacKenzie about me!?" Asher says, pointing a finger at Damien. "This isn't a game of telephone, this is my identity, something that I have to keep secret. Maybe I didn't make it clear when we first talked, but this is kind of a big deal. I don't want half the city to know who I am," Asher says, not wasting second.
The store owner hid in the back room as he dialed for help. A couple of seconds later, a blur quickly ran to the store, so fast, barely detectable by the human eye. This was Blur, the hero sent to stop Apophis, who had super fast speed. "Halt!" He said to Apophis. -
“ so when she saw you in person, she would be ready and wouldn’t rip your throat out for coming onto her territory.” He said casually. “ I was trying to protect Youta from having a dead boyfriend,” he snickered.
Apophis sighs as he pulls himself up onto the ceiling and lashed at Blur with a tentacle, “ aw...chiro too busy for me today?” -
"I doubt that she'd rip my throat out just for being Youta's boyfriend. She has more of a reason to rip my throat out now that she knows my secret," Asher says with a facepalm.
Blur dodged the tentacle. "Chiro seems to be too busy for everybody lately," Blur says with a frown. "Not that it's any of your concern, you thief." Blur runs at Apophis and throws a punch -
“ nah, mack respects you actually, she thinks that you’re the only real hero left in this city.” Damien scowls, “ Mack could have been a hero, but the DG couldn’t use her so they called her a villain. That’s why she made her own country. The island out in the sea for super humans? It’s real. And it’s hers. “ Damien shrugs
“ you call thievery, what I call...returning stolen property. This man stole from vulnerable people. Yet you don’t arrest him.” Apophis grinned as he caused the ground to shake with the stolen earth power, -
"The DG wouldn't.." Asher trailed off. Now that Asher was saying it out loud, he wasn't so sure if he should be defending DG as much anymore. The little things that have been happening lately.. something about it all seemed fishy. "I respect a lot of major villains, too," Asher admitted sheepishly. "Tell me more about this island. I thought that it was only legend."
Blur tripped due to the ground shaking, which made him miss the punch. The man Apophis was referring to was still trembling in the backroom, he was observing the battle with the door slightly ajar. Blur said rudely, "Don't try to get in my head. Why would I believe a filthy liar and killer like you? You're nothing but scum, and I don't know why Chiro insists on taking on all the missions that involve you." Damn, he was quite a talker. Blur probably shouldn't have let that last one slip.
