Sorry, fell asleep! Gonna just put the plot here so we can refer to it easily.
A mute recovering from the trauma that caused their voice loss hires an interpreter to help them get back on their feet. This interpreter, however, is a complete sociopath; not once has Muse 2 felt an emotion other than mild enjoyment or annoyance. So when Muse 1 tries to teach them the concept of love, they find themselves falling hard for Muse 2 instead.
I don't mind Muse 1. Sounds good. I'll post my character in a bit. -

Sorry, almost done. Quick question--- has the character completely lost their voice due to an accident or are they selectively mute due to a traumatic event? Or is that up to me?

I originally planned for them to have completely lost their voice, but selectively mute is fine with me if you’d rather that!

I'm going to go with selective only because any injury causing full vocal loss would also involve breathing problems or eating issues and a bunch of stuff. I'll make the character lead on that he can't talk at all and then I guess his voice can be a surprise at some point.

Name: Isaac Valentino
Nationality: Mexican-American
Age: (?) Decide when you post your character, I'm assuming early 20s though?
Looks: Isaac stands at a slender 5'10". He has a head of short but curlyish black hair (similar to this Nick Jonas style: http:// fthmb.tqn.com/JijW8av5b4YzJKYQKMlBpyyGXtA=/1920x2424/filters:no_upscale():max_bytes(150000):strip_icc()/85680796-56a60e3c3df78cf7728b1dd0.jpg). His eyes are a light brown, on the verge of hazel. His skin is lighter than most members of his family (reference: http:// pixel.nymag.com/imgs/fashion/daily/2013/06/03/03-siva-kaneswaran-169608298.w330.h412.jpg). He has some muscle tone and has a very healthy body type.
Personality: Before his accident, Isaac was very funloving, outgoing, comical, and kind. Nobody could drag him down. However, after his accident, he became very timid and went to the extremes of isolating himself from others. He disliked social interaction and found it very difficult to leave the house. After about a year of therapy, he has finally found the courage to go out and about and experience the outside world once again. What hasn't changed is his inability to speak. He can't bring himself to it. This has led him to hire the interpreter.
He has a major scar: running from the corner of his left eye to his ear
He is very talented in terms of soccer, science, math, and history. He loves learning and exploring. He is also a bit of a foodie.
What happened: One day after a night on the town, Isaac was walking to his car. He wasn't in the best part of town and as he made his way to his vehicle, slightly intoxicated and out of it, he was apprehended by an unknown individual. This person dragged him to an alley where they demanded Isaac fork over his wallet and car keys. Isaac, of course, made the attempt to refuse. He then saw the person's face, and a few more individuals seemed to surround him. "We don't take no for an answer," was the first thing out of the original assailant's mouth. The group then brutally beat Isaac to a bloody pulp & robbed him of everything except his teeshirt and boxers. It was until the next morning that someone found him and called the police. He suffered some injuries: two broken ribs, a black eye, a hairline fracture in his nose & a tooth being knocked out. That doesn't include any cuts or bruises he got from being tossed around. He was lucky he didn't choke on his own blood over the night. Ever since being admitted to the hospital, he has refused to speak. He wouldn't even give a testimony to the police. He simply shook his head when they asked if he'd seen anyone's face. In his mind, his act of saying no caused the entire ordeal, so that has made him scared to speak.

Name: Caroline Reeves
Nationality: Italian-American
Age: 23(yep, early 20’s!)
Looks: Caroline is a slim, pretty average woman, with dark curly hair she keeps in a bun or braid, fair skin, and green eyes. She towers over most at 6’2”, and has a kind of blank stare. Dresses formally and without flaw, often taking weather and the days plans into account instead of haphazardly throwing something on.
Personality: Literally has none. She does not feel any emotion, making her a blank slate. She’s straightforward, and her brutal honesty plus lack of care for others’ emotions sometimes borders on cruel.
What Happened: I know I don’t need to add this but I might as well. She was born a sociopath, and had been in and out of mental facilities her entire childhood. Finally free to live on her own, she choose a career that paid well and allowed her to travel. She could honestly have any job she wanted but traveling allows her to experience new things which in turn help her with social skills.
