Avery looked up to see a Butcher Boy peering down at him, gun in hand. Panicked and trying to keep his anxiety attack under control, he limped out of the base and into the darkness of the port. His bresthing was irregular from the experience and it took eberything in him not to yell or scream as he dragged himself away from the port. Not thinking, and remembering breifly that John was the only contact in his phone, he pressed the first name that showed up on the contact list.
Unfortunately, Reo was in there as ‘Bae’, and it dialed to him instead. -
“ hello?” The soft boy said gently

Avery oulled off the mask, and just started talking gibberish about what happened. His voice was high and panicked and every now and then hed start breathing heavily and wuickly before starting a new sentance.
“John they shot me I got shot its those Butcher Boys I dont know what to do im having an attack John please help im bleeding really bad it really hurts my ears burn im freaking out John please come get me-“ he rambled on and on about it. Poor bby boi. -
Reo’s body shook with rage, but not at Avery. He tracked his location and he geared up. “ Avery, I’m not John, I’m on my way.” He said before he hung up. He arrived pretty quickly, you know because when the love of your life is in danger you move faaaaast

Avery mumbled for a few minutes after he was hung up on, trying to calm his breathing as best he could. As soon as he saw Reo, he almost started crying, as he ran(or at least tried to) into his arms. “Reo I was so scared it was so loud it hurts Reo you’re here-“

Reo held him close. “Don’t worry Avery, you’re safe, I’ll protect you he said gently. “ ince I’m done you can come play with sapphire.” He smiled gently

Avery took deeper breaths, feeling safer now that Reo was here. With one last shakey sigh, bloody gangster boy was calm and also unconscious as he clung onto Reo’s shirt. “I’d like that...” He mumbled as he dozed off.

Reo picked him up and left him after cleaning his wounds, on his bed at his apartments.
Then he went after the guy who had hurt Avery, he wasn’t stupid enough to think he could take them all down, but he could slowly get rid of them if he stayed hidden. It would take a while but his possibile boyfriend would be one hundred percent safe.
Probably.
Ren tracked down the guy who had shot Avery, and staying hidden releases a bullet of his own, -

Avery is still unconscious... because he can’t do anything in the meanwhile anyway. -

Ren returned after he’d done as much damage to the butcher boys as he’d bee able to, and he slipped away unseen. He cleaned himself up in the shower and got dressed in his pjyamas, and he’d managed to get Avery into spare clothes, ...mostly with his eyes clothes, -
I will note that mostly and I will not forget it))
In his sleep, Avery was much less tense. He in fact seemed relaxed, something he was not often, even if he appeared to be. His long black hair was splayed all about and his hand subconsciously moved it off of his face a couple times. -

Ren went to the kitchen to make dinner,
