Reo pouted and he wrapped his arms around avery to indirectly cuddle their catchild, -

Avery tried to control himself as Reo hugged him, desperately failing to keep his blushing face in check.
Unfortunately, the buzz of his phone ruined the moment. Knowing the only person who'd ever call him is John, he knew it had to be important.
"I'm sorry, i have to take this." he said, stepping away as he answered the call. "John? What do you want?" he asked. His annoyance washed away as he could hear John's shallow breathing. John never panicked. John was calm, cool, collected, indifferent. He never panicked.
"It was the Demon Dogs - they came back - they took Lucy and Minako and Adrian -" every word was slurred together into a line of mismatched sentences. "I'll be over I swear. Let me wrap up here okay?" Avery said, a lump forming in his throat. Why was all this happening now? Since his father's death, everything's been chaos. -

Reo was playing with their kitten. “ is everything alright Avery?” He asked concerned when he saw him coming back. -

"Um, yeah, it's just... my brother apparently came down with a cold so I have to go back home and take care of him. It's no big deal, but he's a cry baby so I might be a while. See you at school tomorrow, yeah?" Avery said, trying desperately to lie. He wasn't very good at it, obviously. -
Reo looked upset “ y yeah don’t worry, I’ll jsut take sapphire home” He smield gently.
( I just want to have Reo find out so he can be like yeah well my guardians suck and I love Avery and our child-I mean cat so I’m on his side now, with my assassin skills! But like that would kind of f--- the plot so I’m sorry Avery son u must suffer,) -

"I'm sorry, Reo. I'll make it up to you." He said. He almost gave him a quick kiss goodbye but doubted himself and then thought about how he didn't have the time to think abut those things. He quickly ran towards the base, sneaking into an alley to pull his mask from his backpack and put it on before trekking inside.
It was chaos in there. People were shaking, John was pacing(which is never a good sign), Jonas was crying, it was a mess. Avery walked to John, holding him fast by the shoulders. "John, where did they take them." he asked, now more angry then worried. John mumbled something that sounded like "Port Riverfin", which confirmed his theory that both the Demon Dogs and Butcher Boys were behind this. The port was smack dab in between their territories.
"I'll get them." he said, adjusting his mask slightly. He had to be careful; a lot of police officers patrolled over there. -
Noo to Reo being a b---- or no to suffer)
Reo set up sapphires stuff and took some pictures with the cat, including one with him in an overgrown sweater, his reading glasses, his hair loose and strewn around him and the cat on shoulder area and her head on his neck -

Avery clutched his dagger tightly as he arrived at Port Riverfin. He refused to use guns, since they usually triggered him. Now if he could get passed the port guards, find his friends, get them out with minimum conflict, and make it all up to Reo, the night would be perfect. -
Nahhhh Avery must sufffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffer.
So what’s actually going to happen when they find out about each other.)
Reo decided what the heck and took a somewhat sexy selfy with his glasses dipped down his face, a seductive lip bite and having unbottened the top buttons of his sweater.
He tagged that one with ) is this flirting?(
And he hit send on all of them. -
Avery was about to move when he felt his phone vibrate. He let out a breath silently, glad he always had it on silent for just such an occasion. Looking at the pictures he tried to pretend he didn't read them; he wanted to respond - badly - but alas, he had more important things to handle right now.

Avery looked to make sure one more time that it was safe before dashing for the entrance of their own warehouse. Full of long thin halls that were bare of any hiding places, he knew as soon as he made it inside that this was much too much for him to swallow.
Unfortunately, before h could leave and tell the others that he had failed -
He got shot.
The sound screamed in his ears, and it was so nearby that not even the mask could keep him from crumpling to the floor. Well, that and the bullet in his leg. -
