(Lol I know I was being silly.)
(That's why it would be good character build.)
Candace saw Janus look at her and tensed, wondering if he saw her weakness. "How long until we get to the oracle?" Candace huffed, hoping her voice sounded more impatient than nervous of all the people here. -
Janus shrugged. He wasn't one to trouble himself with the fate of the world."I haven't the faintest. I don't usually travel here - I only came for a job."
-
"And i usually stay in the forest" Ink said quietly, glancing around before focusing on the important looking person
-
The mayor talked the crowd down and they all dispersed. Zander came up to one person and asked "Excuse me, good sir, but can you tell us where the oracle is?" The man said "Right over there, my good bard." and he pointed to a purple tent with weird symbols on it.
-
"Huh. Surprised we didn't notice that." Candace huffed as she looked around. She knew she could defend herself with ease now if anyone attacked her but being surrounded by people triggered her trust issues and anxiety.
-
"C'mon, let's go." Janus said, feeling impatient and fidgety. "We don't know when that thing might strike again. If it'll strike again."
-
Ink nodded in agreement and headed for the tent
-
They all entered and the oracle said "I know why you have appeared. You are curious about that cloud."
-
Candace was slightly impressed, but not completely. She knew the lady could have probably seen the cloud from here, so it would have been obvious that most of the people coming here were asking about the cloud. "Nah, we're here to ask when firewood is coming on sale." She chuckled. "Yes, we're here about the cloud. What can you tell us?" Candace asked.
-
Janus put his hair up again, now into a bun. "Yes, do tell."
-
Ink stood near the back of the group and tilted his head slightly at the Oracle
-
The oracle said "You should do best not to insult an oracle my wolf friend." She sat down and said "I am Madame Charmaine. Mystic Seer of the Dark Arts. That cloud you saw was a monster called the Devastator."
-
"If you really were psychic then you'd know the reason for my edginess." Candace muttered. "The Devastator huh? I wonder why." Candace replied sarcastically. Sure was devastating to those hunters I hope. She thought in her head with a chuckle.
-
Janus gave Candace a look. "Your behavior is..." he almost said uncalled for, but decided against it. He didn't want to rustle up another fight, not after all the craziness of today.
-
Ink frowned at Candace but stayed silent, leaning of his staff as he fidgeted with his hair
