With his words, she was drinking, dancing and even swimming in Jessie's indoor pool. The chlorine water felt cool against her skin as other teenagers were laughing and enjoying their time at Jessie's party. Ashley was giggling away, at the chicken fight in the center of the pool. She had taken off her shorts before getting into the pool, and took pictures of the other teenagers. Ashley had drink after drink, wanting to only think of Jake instead of Carson. Though Ashley was enjoying her time with Jake at the party, she could only wonder what Carson was doing.
-
"Hey Ashley! I need your help with something!" James yelled for the third time, hoping Ashley heard him this time. "I think you're being summoned." Jake laughed, stroking Ashley's waist with a smirk.
-
Ashley stiffened at his gentle touch. She groaned, getting herself out of the pool. ''I'll be right back Jake,'' She hissed, walking over to her things. She grabbed her bag, camera, phone and shorts. Placing her items in her bag. She huffed, wrapping herself in a pastel pink towel. Walking bare feet over to James. ''W-What do you n-need help w-with, pal?'' Ashley said, her cheeks red from the alcohol, her words slurred, and her brows furrowed.
-
"I need help asking a girl to dance. Can you be my wingman?" James asked, shuffling his feet nervously.
"I don't want to go in there. I need to apologize. I need to apolllllllygize to James... I need to apologize to Ashhy... Need to kill Jake.... Need to apologize to Asssssshhhhyyy." Carson slurred as Curtis tried to drag him into a room. "Help!!! This gay man is raping me!" Carson yelled before bursting into laughter. With a finale yank Curtis pulled him in. "I'm just kidding buddy. I love you." Carson laughed. "DON'T LEAVE ME!!!" Carson yelled as Curtis locked him in and waited for James to bring Ashley. -
Ashley looked at him, her brows furrowed as she tugged on her wet shirt. Her hands clinging to the towel. Her brows furrowed as she thought about it. ''W-wait, aren't you, like, gay?'' Ashley questioned, licking her peach lips. Her lips formed an ''o'' as her eyes widened in shock. She leaned forward, a smile on her lips. ''A-Are you, like, secretly bisexual, cause I'll keep it a secret,'' Ashley whispered, giggling. She placed her hand on his shoulder, leaning against him as she hiccuped. ''So, so,'' Ashley mumbled, looking at the crowd of drunk teenagers. ''Where's the lucky girl, James?'' Ashley questioned, analyzing each girl in the living room, kitchen, and a bit out on the indoor pool area.
-
"I'm not gay!" James groaned. "I just act gay..." He admitted. "Anyways, she's upstairs. Follow me." James told her. He made sure not to let her fall since she was drunk. James wasn't really sure of his sexuality. He knew he wasn't gay because he was friends with many boys and didn't feel anything for them. But he never really felt attracted to girls either and was always good at talking to girls.
-
''Upstairs, well, alright but, I got to go back to Jake,'' Ashley said, her face cringing. ''I-I mean you did interrupt our date,'' She honestly didn't like Jake as much as she'll like to believe but, instead was falling for her first friend in London, Carson. At the thought, she angrily climbed up the stairs, quite not ready to even admit her feelings since she knew it was how guys like Carson played such a cruel game. ''S-So, where is she?'' Ashley questioned, looking down the hallway of the four bedrooms and two bathrooms.
-
James took Ash to the door where Curtis was waiting. He turned Ash around so that she was in front of the door. "How do I look?" He asked as Curtis unlocked the door d opened it. "I'm sorry Ashley..." James added before Curtis pulled her in and closed the door, locking it.
Arson was startled by the sounds of the door and looked up from the chair he was sitting in. He smiled when he saw Ashley. "Hey there Aaaaaassshhhhyyyy." He greeted. He paused for a bit and realized something. "I'm high." He laughed, bursting into laughter. -
Ashley stared in bewilderment at the door, her brows furrowed in anger. ''Why?!'' She screamed, burying her face onto her hands to muffle the shout. She groaned, knowing well there wasn't going to be any escape. ''You may be cute and all, Carson,'' Ashley said, glaring at him. ''But you sure are annoying,'' Childishly, Ashley stuck her tongue at him and sat down on the bed.
-
Carson sighed. "You don't know tha half of it." He laughed, looking up at the roof. "I annoy the heck out of myself! That's why I drank so much just now." Carson chuckled. "Or was that an hour ago? Maybe... Half an hour?" He wondered. "Hey, Ash? I'm sorry for being all angry and stuff. It's not your fault. I just reeeeeaaaaaallllllyyyyy wanna... Never mind. Not a good time." Carson chattered.
-
''Apology not accepted,'' Ashley said, crossing her arms over her chest, rather anger still. She brought the towel closer to her form and flicked her attention to the door, wondering if James and Curtis are listening. ''Not until you tell me what's been going on in your head,'' Ashley huffed, crossing her legs as she shifted her gaze to the window. She was worried if she directly looked at Carson's features, her gaze would shift to his lips and she'll kiss him.
-
Carson sighed, getting serious and sitting beside her. "I'm a bloody coward. I've lived my entire life doing whatever's easiest. Flirting from girl to girl, cheating on test... That kind of stuff." Carson told her. "I saw you and approached you the same way I would any other girl. But when nothing I did was working, I decided to do things differently and prove loyalty to you... Eventually I fell for you. I fell for you so bad that the more you refused me the emptier I felt. When I was freaking out with the bat, I was trying to get rid of that empty feeling. I didn't want to feel it again... So I decided to let you think I was a dumb play boy and avoid you. But then you asked me out and I chickened out on the date. I feel bad because I didn't want you to be mad at me. I wanted you to be happy." He explained. "You deserve better than a man slut like me." He added. "That sounded wrong." He realized after a long pause, bursting into laughter.
-
Ashley's lips remainded into a frown as she cleared her throat, eyes on her lap. ''W-Well, what about Jake? What got you so pissed at him since you tried to get away from since I deserve yo-better,'' Ashley said, stumbling over her words. A blush spread across her cheeks. I don't deserve you but, I sure as hell want you Ashley thought, clearing her throat.
-
"What are you trying to say?" Carson asked, laughing at her as she stumbled over her words. He studied her and his gaze fell on her eyes. He looked deep into her eyes, then at her lips. Then he got scared again and looked away, laughing nervously.
-
Now on the spot, Ashley cleared her throat as her blush darkened to a wondrous shade of red, as her eyes remained on her lap. ''W-Well,'' She cleared her throat, her brows furrowed. ''I-I, um, was just wondering, what's your deal with Jake? I mean you seem like you hate his guts,'' She said, quickly wanting to avert the spotlight. Though, with her little self-control she glanced up at Carson but, her glance soon bounced off the ceiling, the walls and even the floor.
