Ashley watched him go, for just a moment. His expression almost pained her as she listened to him. ''Well, alright, I'll see you at the party b-but,'' Ashley said, clearing her throat. There's a first for everything right? Ashley thought as she swallowed a lump in her throat. ''I-I, um,'' Ashley said, stuttering as she fumbled with the sleeve of her cardigan. ''The bet's off, fine,'' She said, biting her bottom lip as she stared at her feet in embarrassment. ''That doesn't mean we can't go on a date,'' Her voice lower than before. ''Ledbury, six heures. Ne sois pas en retard,'' Ashley said, her cheeks dusting in pink from embarrassment. Fear of rejection bubbled in her throat as she felt panicked. ''H-Hey you know, just going to the party is f-fine, I-I'll go with Jake, you don't even have to go and be bothered,'' Ashley said, her words rushed as she walked passed him entering the building. Her head down as she walked passed Curtis and James, her heart racing as she felt panicked. What did I do? What did I do? Why did I even do that?! I never asked a guy out before! Antoine was the one who asked me out, I didn't even ask him out! What was I thinking Ashley thought as she took refugee to the girl's bathroom.

Carson stopped in his tracks when he heard her words and breathed deeply as his brain translated what she said. Carson ran a hand through his hair as she ran past him. He felt beyond happy at the fact that she just asked him out. He felt a rush of excitement but at the same time a stab of fear and anger when she said she said she would go with Jake. Ashley, Wait. Carson called chasing after her. He didnt care if he had to miss class. He decided to wait outside the washroom for her. He paced outside the girls washroom, planing what he was going to say. But when the door opened, he chickened out and walked to class, swearing at himself under his breath.
-
Ashley hid in the bathroom stall, pacing as she heard girls come in and out. Sometimes hearing Jessie and her group to gossip but, with the late bell came silence. Swallowing a lump in her throat, Ashley began exiting the bathroom. She slightly hid behind the door, peering out the door, looking down the halls. Her eyebrows furrowed as she spotted only a few students running late but none of them were Carson. Ashley began walking to her English class, her head down as she strolled down the hall to class. Carson, out of all people, I had to ask him out! What was I thinking? I-I mean, I just, I felt bad and I-I didn't want him to think about himself in such a way, despite it being true. T-Then, seeing him so hurt, and angry, I prefered him to flirt with other girls than have him look that way. What if he's just playing me with the guilt trip? Ashley groaned in frustration, rubbing her temples with her hands as she entered her English class.

After school, Carson paced back and forth at his front door. He had showered, changed his outfit five times, changed his hair ten times before changing it back, and brushed his teeth. He never felt this scared about- correction. He never felt scared about anything in his life. But now he was terrified from that feeling he had felt earlier that day. He didnt want to bare that feeling again. Screw it. Carson sighed, walking out the door. He walked to the restaurant she wanted to meet him at by 5:55 pm. So he paced outside, waiting nervously.

Ashley had spoken with Jake before school, receiving hos number to later talk about the party. Afterwards, she prepared herself for her dare. Not wearing to much makeup, she decided to go with a rather pink colored lipstick, and shimmering blue eyeshadow. With her hair in a half up-half down, she at the very least wanted to try something new. She as said before, wore her dark blue dress that was tight around the waist and sprawled out much like a flower. Her adoring black wedges and white stocking were put to great use. She had brought her small white purse to hold her belongings as well as wore golden bracelet on her left wrist.
Though as she approached the Ledbury restaurant, her head low as she awaited disappointment, embarrassment and frustration the fashionista glanced upward to look at the crowd. A gasp escaped her lips as she hid around a corner. What is he doing here? Did his friends set him up for this? I should've just stayed home! Ashley thought as she peeked around the corner, and sighed. He looked rather handsome, and Ashley wasn't going to deny such a fact. Fine, its just one date Ashley thought as she began approaching the restaurant, her head down in embarrassment. -
Carson saw Ashley and smiled. "H-Hi." He greeted nervously. Smooth Carson. Very smooth. Small Car drove off the bridge. He thought to himself as he held the door open for her.
-
''Hi, Carson,'' Ashley said, clearing her throat. ''Thank you,'' She mumbled stepping into the restaurant. As soon as she mentioned the date, Ashley had set a reservation. ''Hello, how may I help you two?'' the hostess questioned, a smile on peach lips. ''I had a reservation for two, under the name Moore,'' Ashley hummed, glad the restaurant wasn't buzzing in a craze. ''Why yes of course,'' She said, leading them to a booth in the back. ''I hope you enjoy your meal here at Ledbury,'' The hostess hummed, eyeing Carson. She took her leave as Ashley moved herself to sit towards the middle of the booth. She fumbled with the hem of her dress, as normally Curtis and James would be here for jokes and good fun but, it was just them two. I don't know if this is awkward or if this is what he actually wanted. I still don't know if this is a setup or not, even so, am I overdressed? I mean, it's just a normal restaurant, and I just wanted to look nice Ashley thought, her mind going into a frantic craze. ''S-So, um,'' Ashley said, clearing her throat as she tried thinking of conversation starters.
-
"You look nice." Carson told her, smiling. He was pale and blushing. For the first time, the talkative player was at a lost for words. He took a deep breath, and closed his eyes, hoping to regain his cool.
-
''T-Thank you,'' Ashley said, her cheeks flaring red from embarrassment. "U-Um, n-no one forced you to come here, right?'' Ashley questioned, ready for him to say so. ''It's alright if someone did, I mean you been on dates with so many girls, I should be easy too right?'' Ashley said, her words coming out like a rushing stream. Ashley laughed, nervously, her hands clutching her small bag.
-
"No, no one forced me to." Carson replied. "I'm just a bit thrown off..." Carson explained. "It was surprising when you asked me out because you seemed pretty determined to hate me." He blurted. Smooth Small Car. Very smooth. He thought to himself.
-
''Well, it wasn't that I wanted to hate you, I didn't want to rush things and the way you were so angry earlier, I didn't even think you'll show,'' Ashley said clearing her throat. ''I'm a demisexual,'' She admitted, her gaze on her purse. ''It takes time for me to develop feelings for someone,'' Ashley added, feeling uncomfortable with her explaining her sexuality to him. ''I don't hate you, you're honestly a good guy, a bit flirtatious but, charming,'' Ashley said, a small laugh escaping her lips.
-
"Sorry for getting angry earlier. I guess I lost my cool." Carson told her. He pressed his lips together as he remembered the fact that she was going to the party with Jake. He didn't want to be romantic. Not yet. Not if he had to watch her dance with another guy in two days and still keep his cool. "Can we still be friends?" He asked.
-
Ashley frowned at his word, friends. ''Of course we can be friends,'' Ashley hummed, her brows furrowing. ''Then, we wouldn't call this a date, just two friends hanging out,'' Ashley hummed, a playful smile forced onto her lips. ''So, will I see you at the party, maybe with some cool girl for you know, a double date?'' Ashley hummed, twirling a lock of her long hair.
-
"Nah. I think I'll be going solo." Carson replied, not sure if he could get back on his game. What happened if he fell for another girl? Then had to cut her off too? He blinked as he studied her hair and sighed. This was going to be harder than he thought.
-
''Alright, if you ever need to hang out with someone at the party just text me, or call me, I'll be there with or without Jake,'' Ashley said, clearing her throat. ''I mean, Jessie seems to have a thing for you, maybe you can smooth talk her,'' She said, forcing a laugh.
