The guards annoyed, turned the backs against the prisoner standing guard. The princess' heals clattered with the cold stone flooring, her lips parted, breaths passing through them as she staggered forward eyes glancing around the cells looking for Dorvakin. She spotted the posted guards, her anger clear on her features. ''Leave,'' Elbereth demanded, the guards leaving upon her request. ''I am so, so very sorry, Dorvakin,'' Elbereth mumbled, her eyes trained on the retreating guards with her hands on the metal bars.
-
Dorvakin held her hand on the bar and said "It's okay Elbereth. You didn't know she would come in and neither did I. I'm just worried about what my tribe will do if they find out."
-
''What will happen if your tribe does find out? What are the possibilities?'' Elbereth questioned as she stared at their touching hands. The cool metal radiated on her palm, as Dorvakin's hand warmed the back of hers. ''I'll have to find a way out for you but, only God knows how long that'll take but, I'll bring you as much food and water as possible,'' She mumbled, biting her bottom lip.
-
Dorvakin said "If they find out, they might mount a siege to try and get me back and probably kidnap someone in the castle as payback."
-
''This isn't good at all but, you did come illegally and that it's all my fault, I'm so very sorry,'' Elbereth said, her brows furrowed. Her apologies were not enough as so she thought, making silent promises to have Dorvakin out of the cell as soon as possible.
-
Dorvakin said "It's not your fault. If anything it's mine. I should have calculated the risks better."
-
''This risk of our relationship is high,'' Elbereth whispered not wanting anyone to hear. ''It was a danger since we have spoken a word to one another,'' She mumbled, brows furrowed. ''Do not blame yourself Dorvakin,'' She whispered at last, giving her knuckles a gentle and affectionate kiss to express her apologetic behavior.
-
Dorvakin rubbed Elbereth's cheek and said "In the end, it might be your father's decision on whether to kill me or not."
-
''It might have been my father's decision but, I could've stopped him if he were to do so, let's just hope he doesn't,'' Elbereth said, her hand raising to touch his hand that rested on his cheek.
-
Dorvakin smiled and said "No matter what happens though, I love you."
-
''And I'll love you just as much,'' Elbereth said, biting her bottom lip, her heart straining.
-
The disguised Drow didn't hear the conversation but entered and said "Um, princess. Your father wishes to see you now."
-
''I'll bring something for you soon and then we can chat,'' Elbereth whispered, her hands releasing from the bars turning to servant before her. ''Yes, um, thank you,'' Elbereth said, clearing her throat as she began walking down the cold dungeon's halls. Often, Elbereth turned to glance over her shoulder at the servant and Dorvakin as the guards began to slowly walk towards Dorvakin's cell.
-
The Drow wondered why Dorvakin was here in the first place. Was he trying to get information or was he planning on kidnapping the princess? He just kept wondering as he followed the princess.
