''It would be an honor. What would you like at your grave? A letter of love?'' Hendrina teased, her smile growing. Laughter erupted from her lips. ''If we were to die, we'll be dying for a cause? Right?'' Hendrina asked. Her gaze softened, thinking of fond memories of the humans. ''Mother had told me various times that humans will be grateful for our sacrifices. The deaths will be for their return to Earth. ''We'll be worshiped like Gods,'' she would always tell me.'' Hendrina chuckled.
-
"I would be great to have white roses on my grave."Zack said as he chuckled a bit.He then smiled and hummed"We'll be worshipped like gods. That's very interesting"
-
''White roses? I see. I shall do as you request.'' Hendrina mused. ''That's what my mother tells me at the very least,'' Hendrina hesitated. She raised her eyebrow, eyes boring into the Zack's. ''What do the Elves say? If the humans were to return?'' Hendrina asked in curiosity.
-
"If I remembered,My dad had said this to me when I was young"If we died in a war to have the humans, once again rule.We would be remembered as their Guardians. We would be legends"Zack said as he smiled.
-
''I see.'' Hendrina hummed. ''Do you want to die, for the humans' sake?'' She asked, her brows furrowed. ''If so, why weren't you, Elves tainted with the bad blood of humans?'' Hendrina questioned her voice laced with anger and frustration. The red rose danced between her fingers. Mind cluttered and clouded, the sudden prickling sensation coursed through her veins. Hissing in pain, Hendrina dropped the rose at her feet. Blood oozed from the small wound. The stinging sensation began as she held her finger. Small droplets of blood ran down her index finger. A small chuckle escaped her lips to lighten the sour mood. ''Oops.'' She whispered.
-
Zack looked down as he thought about what Hendrina said."Why weren't we tainted by the bad blood of humans?...I-I-I d-don't know..."He said softly as he had a upset expression, thinking that he had said something wrong"I-I apologize, Hendrina...."
-
''It's alright, I just allowed anger to get the best of me.'' Hendrina sighed. ''Zack. What is it you want to do while you're alive?'' Hendrina questioned. ''Just curious.'' She chuckled out. Using her thumb, Hendrina wiped away the blood only to spread the blood across her finger.
-
"There's a lot of things that I want to do while I'm alive"Zack said as he looked around the garden, humming softly"I can't choose between all of them"
-
''I see,'' Hendrina hummed as she swung her feet back and forth. The garden doors opened with a creaking sound following. Locks of black and mysterious settled into the garden. The man's butler uniform framed him well as he approached the Royals. ''Madam Hendrina, Prince Zack. Dinner is prepared, I wish for you both to go to the dining room. Queen Martin will like to speak with you before dinner as well.'' He stated. ''Dismissed,'' Hendrina said after quite some time. Soon being left in a soothing silence, Hendrina stood. ''Let's go.'' Her hand was outstretched to the take the prince's hand.
-
Zack took Hendrina's hand as he stood up.
-
Holding onto Zack's hand, Hendrina smiled. Taking slow steps to the opened doors of the garden Hendrina's mind drifted. ''Zack. Do you think your people will help once the war is declared?'' Hendrina asked. Furrowed brows, Hendrina's gaze settled at what laid before her.
-
"I think my people would have a hard time taking this in and they would most likely argue with me but I can easily calm them and get them to agree."Zack said as he walked with Hendrina.
-
''I don't wish for them to be involved,'' Hendrina stated. ''Though, that decision doesn't matter between you and me. Mother has been in control of making the decisions for quite some time. Ever since she became Queen.'' Hendrina mused. ''I just want you to be cautious, Prince Zack. My mother doesn't like playing by the rules.'' She finished.
-
Zack nodded his head in understanding"I'll stay cautious"
-
Her cold hand gripped onto his hand in confirmation. ''Good,'' She said her breathing heavy. ''I'm sure the other men will be jealous. Nevertheless, we shouldn't be worried about such things.'' Laughter escaped her lips as Hendrina's gaze directed to their hands. She didn't feel a strong emotional connection with the prince but, she felt safe when in his presence. It was soothing to her. With a slow motion, Hendrina swung their arms back and forth.
