"Wow Ella! You smell just like roses!" One of the boys at the orphanage cheered. He had handsome green eyes, ruffled blonde hair, and wore nicer clothes than most of the orphans. "Thank you Donny. You look nice today." Ella replied. "Well, today's adoption day! So we wanna look our best!" Donny replied. "Yeah. Like I'll be sticking around for adoption day." Ella laughed, grabbing some bread and cheese for her lunch.

Gerald walked into an abandoned barn he usually went to and a large dog came up to him. He hugged the dog and gave him some meat he had stolen. He sat down next to the dog and started eating his fruit.
-
Ella finished eating and walked outside. She wondered where she wanted to go next. She walked up a hill that was pretty steep so she didn't go up often. But today she wanted something new. She climbed up the hill and saw a large barn. She didn't here any animals, so she assumed it was abandoned as she skipped towards it.
-
The dog began to growl and Gerald said "What is it boy?" The dog walked to the door and Gerald looked out the window. He saw Ella coming and said "Don't worry about her boy. She's a friend." Having hear this, the dog stopped growling.
-
"Oh, hi there!" Ella greeted. She petted the dog and looked around the barn. "How come this place is abondond?" She asked, looking around. This barn could hold thousands of animals!
(I have to go. Bye.) -
(Okay, bye.)
Gerald said "Honestly I'm not sure. Maybe whoever owned it couldn't get enough money from it." -
(I'm back!)
"Ha. No one gets enough money for anything." She laughed. She sat at the edge of the hill and watched as people came to the orphanage. Many people left with children. Some did not. Ella sighed as her friend Donny was adopted by a rich family. -
(Cool, but better enjoy me while you can. I'll be leaving in an hour to an hour and a half.)
Gerald looked at what Ella was looking at. He said "Shouldn't you be down there to get a family?" -
"Nah. Don't need one." Ella replied. "Adoption day is a day once a week where a bunch of couples come in, and examine the kids like their tropheys and picking the first one that satisfies them. Then for the first week you're all excited in a new place, but then when you misbehave they hold your adoption against you. Until they give up on being parents and send you back. Many of my friends have returned to the orphanage from that." Ella told him. When people stoped coming she rolled down the hill and stood up, rubbing the buttercup stains on her dress. "Bye!" She told Gerald as she ran outside.
-
(Sorry, inside not outside.)
-
(My hours just rose to 2.)
Gerald said "See ya." As Ella left, he said "Boy, she has a positive outlook on life." -
Ella ignored the Friars cross look as she sat down and read a book. A few minutes later, a carriage from another kingdom came in. And the King and Queen from the larger kingdom entered the orphanage. Two girls came out and followed them. One was eleven and the other was 15. The eleven year old waved to the boy on the hill as she lifted up her puffy dress and followed her parents inside.
-
Gerald saw the girl in the puffy dress waving at him and waved back.
-
"Hello Queen Violet and King Waldo. How may I help you?" The friar asked, bowing as he made dinner. Ella looked up to see the royal family from the large, far off capital kingdom. "We're looking for a daughter. Our girls keep fighting and we could use a third to be their tie breaker." The Queen replied. "Also, our servants are tired of sleeping with Doris when she gets nightmares." The King added. "Well, what kind of girl would you be looking for?" The Friar asked. "Whoever drew these drawings that my sister found in her garden." The Queen replied, showing him the drawings of flowers. Ella snuck outside as the Friar looked at her drawings.
