Gerald said "Okay." and started climbing the rope.

Once they were over the wall, Elizabeth laughed. "See? No problem. What did you think?" She asked, twirling around and sitting on a broken bench.

Gerald sat down on the same bench and said "I think you're a very interesting girl, and I don't even know your name. Mine's Gerald."

"Mines Elizabeth. Call me Ella!" Elizabeth cheered.

Gerald said "Ella. That's a nice name. Anything else I need to know about you?"

Ella shrugged. "I'm an orphan who never knew my parents. I think they might have been beheaded for something." She replied. "That's really all there is to know about me. Besides sneaking around and exploring now and then." She added.

Gerald said "I never knew my parents either. I've just lived most of my life on the streets. I've only been caught stealing once. Have you ever been caught?"

"No. Because I never steal." She told him, walking down the stone path and hoping he would follow.

Gerald got up to follow Ella and said "I guess you wouldn't have to steal if you live in an orphanage. But what do you sneak around for?"

"To explore! You think I want to stay in the same old building everyday?" She asked, crossing her legs and reading a book.

Gerald said "I guess not. I know I wouldn't. But have you ever been caught sneaking out or sneaking in?"

"No." Emily answered. "Well, except the one time when I was two and sneaking some cookies. But that was my first time." She added.

Gerald said "Well then you're pretty good."

"Thanks." She smiled. A bell rang and she sighed. "Gotta go for lunch. Bye!" She told him, running off.

Gerald said "Okay, see ya then." He walked off to find a safe place to eat his stolen fruit.
