Elias genuinely laughed, something he had not permitted himself to do in a very long time. Though it still somewhat hurt to laugh, he shook the feeling away, too into the moment to pay it any mind. His eyes shone with happiness. He was truly, very honestly enjoying himself. He then waited for a waiter of some sorts to approach them, wondering if the food would really live up to the hype Zinark seemed to be giving it. It oddly reminded him of his mother, the same female who had introduced him to cuisine from various places, including some very tiny cities that most had not even been able to visit.
-
I grinned a bit wider seeing that he was really happy, a few minutes later, Steele came over to our table with a pad and pencil, he seemed rather nice, "hello there, would you like drinks for now or would you like to order your food?" He asked, he seemed to have a deep gravelly voice like he was maybe older then he looked
-
The teenager smiled brightly, waving to Steele with excitement resonating from himself. "HI! I would like a big ol' cup of coffee and the Twisted Chicken Caesar Salad. Thank you thank you thank you." He folded his hands together, examining the man's appearance. He held his breath for a moment, attempting to refrain from growing far too happy. He looked away, suddenly finding the table to be incredibly interesting. The male crossed his arms, waiting for Zinark to order.
-
"I would like green sparkly water and a large crusted piece of cubed peanut butter pie" I said smiling, Steele nodded and wrote all the orders down and waved back towards Elias giving a friendly grin, his front teeth seemed poked out a little, making him seem slightly wolfish, he turned heading towards the other spots of the restaurant doing things
-
Elias clapped very quietly, looking to Zinark with his typical, downcast expression. He rubbed his hands together, pulling his scarf off and setting it next to himself. Also removing his pea coat, he revealed a black, long sleeved shirt that had three buttons at the top. He pulled off his gloves, setting them on the table and setting his elbows onto it, as well. Swallowing heavily, he made eye contact with Zinark. "So, how old are you?" He was under the impression that he was an older individual, at least twenty. He would be surprised if he was anything less, especially due to how willing he was to aid others and his dedication to a job.
-
"I'm 17" I said, I glanced at his gloves and scarf, but looked up noticing he was looking at me, I smiled a little, my stomach started rumbling a little
-
"Oh? I thought you were older. I'm surprised." He furrowed his eyebrows, surprised that he had made such an off assumption. It wasn't like him. Usually, his analytical self got predictions spot-on. He couldn't remember the last he'd gotten somebody's age range incorrect. Baffled, he looked down at the table for a moment, but shook his head. "That's cook. Are you still in school? I mean, I don't know how they do school around here, so, yeah?"
-
"oh, I have gone to school before, it was a half year school and it was focused mostly on magic... which... I uh..." I stopped when I remembered about how I could barely use my magic at all, "I just wasn't that good there" I said forcing myself to smile
-
The word 'magic' struck a cord with Elias, recalling that he owned his own set of magical abilities, most of which he chose not to expose to anybody. He smiled in response to Zinark, turning as a random worker placed their drinks at the table, scurrying away as soon as they did. Elias called out a statement of gratitude, beginning to pour creamers into his coffee. "I understand."
-
I took a sip out of my green water, "wow! I only tried this once before and it seems better, or maybe I just kind of forgot how this tasted after a while, but still, i really like this!" I said grinning a little
-
Elias chortled, mixing in two packets of sugar. He preferred his coffee to taste bitter, to pack a punch. It usually was more effective in waking him and made for a better Elias. He took a few small sips of the liquid, his eyes widening. There was a taste laced within the drink that he had not come across at another time. It wasn't a disgusting flavor, however. It just made the coffee relatively stronger. He rose an eyebrow, nodding in approval. "Ah, you've been here a lot?"
-
"Actually not much, sometimes things get in the way or I end up having to do something else" I said chuckling a little
-
"Ah, I see." Elias gave a few glimpses around the restaurant, up until a specific individual caught his attention. He owned a pair of penetrating green eyes and obviously owned a relatively large amount of height. His hair was still messy, in need of a proper combing and style. His skin remained dusty, resembling the awful desert and the horrid features surrounding it. Elias' face automatically contorted into one of infuriated fire as he relayed the events of the fateful night in his mind, recalling the way his feline self flew against the hard ground. A small line of sweat appeared above his brow, his jaw clenching repeatedly. When he realized what he was doing and the information it could reveal about himself, he ceased his actions, looking back to Zinark with a grin. "How long have you lived here, Zinark?"
-
"hmm, a while now, I think 5 years? anyway, are you ok elias? it seemed like something was bothering you" I said slightly tilting my head
-
After listening to the monster's response intently, Elias chugged about half of his coffee, nodding understandably. "Interesting." He let out a laugh to avoid any suspicion. "I'm fine. Nothing's bothering me. This place is great. Thanks for showing it to me." He licked his lips, noticing that their food would most likely arrive at any close minute. A breath of relief came from him, his hand reaching up to scratch the back of his neck. "What do people typically do here?"
