"I think I'll wait here for now" I said, I tilted my head slightly when I noticed the stem like things on her, but decided not to question it, I sat down nearby hoping he was going to be ok, he seemed to be in a lot of pain while I had him in my hands
-
After a multitude of tests and a few blood work sessions, the medical staff dedicated to Elias concluded that he required pain medication that they would flow through an IV. It had only been about forty five minutes since the boy had arrived, but it was obvious that whatever attacked him had delivered blunt force kicks to the damaged part of his body. It was rather disgusting, in their opinion, as they had not known many individuals to be so violent in that area of town. They stabilized the teenager by first slightly icing the area and checking for signs of the perilous symptom of internal bleeding. Once it became clear he was not bleeding internally, they placed him in a comfortable position that made it impossible for him to turn onto the injured side. He was then fed pain medication through his IV, which were part sedative, as well, and so he began to fight off sleep while they marked that he was in stable condition. Aware that he had been taken by another individuals, they called into the secretary station, informing them that Elias was permitted visitors to his room. The stemmed lady looked up from her spot, calling to Zinark. "Your friend is doing better! He's in room 8G if you wish to join him."
-
I was rather distracted thinking deeply, but I heard the lady calling my name and saying some other stuff, "what? Uh sorry, I was just thinking" I said nervously smiling, "what did you say?" I asked standing up walking towards her
-
The woman cleared her throat, beaming excitedly. "I said, sweetheart, that your friend is in stable condition. He is in room 8G if you would like to be with him." The nearby telephone rung out, causing the stemmed lady to jump and answer it, leaving Zinark alone and tending to her duties. Her face lit up as she began to speak to the person on the other line, explaining various treatment plans for whatever they were facing.
In the room, Elias was staring at the wall, rather ashamed of himself for failing so miserably at his plan. He was on the edge of sleep, where you were somewhat aware of your surroundings but not exactly capable of reacting so simply. He was grasping his shoulder with the hand opposite to it, rubbing it and he pondered new courses of action as to how he could pummel the suspect with overwhelming evidence against him. Shifting into one of the cuddliest things on Earth obviously was not the correct option. He almost screamed obscenities at the wall, frustrated with everything that had taken place throughout that day. -
I grinned feeling rather excited myself and went on my way to that room, I carefully opened the door and entered the room trying to not make too much noise, "hello?" I said softly not completely sure if he was going to be tired or not
-
Elias was relatively confused as he was facing away from the entrance into the room. After relaying the events of actually being taken to the clinic, he recognized the soft spoken voice as the one belonging to the kind monster that had given him help. He raised one of his eyebrows, raising one of his hands and waving for a second or so before letting it drop back to the bed. Whatever medication he was being given caused his body to feel rather heavy, much like there were steel weights holding him down. He opened his dry, parched mouth to speak, and it took a few attempts to actually produce any sound. When he did, his dialogue was a bit slurred, yet it was coherent enough to comprehend. "Thanks fer bein'here."
-
I stepped a bit closer, "your welcome!" I said forcing myself to smile, "are you feeling better?" I asked, I could tell he was maybe a bit out of it, maybe it was something they gave him
-
Elias shrugged a bit, nodding. "Whatever the f--- they have me hopped up on is certainly making me feel better." His snarky, unhappy personality was shining through in his speech. There wasn't a clear reason as to why he was always so upset save for the fact that he had such a hatred for the scum of humanity. He sighed heavily, apologizing for his rude remark. The other individual was obviously a lovely person who was willing to sacrifice a majority of his own time for somebody else. Being the jerk that he was to him was unfair and would be grounds for rejection. He bit down heavily on his lip, "I'm Elias, by the way. What's your name?" He would have to know the other's title before properly thanking him.
-
My ears lowered a little hearing his snarkiness, but i tried not to let it bother me, "I'm zinark" I said
-
"Well, Zinark, thank you for helping me and bringing me here. I very much appreciate it." He puffed out a few shaky breaths, adjusting himself to the best of ability as he was somewhat restrained by a buckle around his waist that would prevent him from rolling onto and exacerbating the pain in his other side. In his mind, he replayed the man driving his heavy boot into his feline self's side, his eyebrows furrowing deeply. It was intriguing that the man had been so willing to cause such an innocent thing so much agony. That was a more convincing reason to ring him in. He growled slightly to himself, deciding that it would be wise to make small talk so as to avoid any questions pertaining to his injury. "So, I kinda expected you to leave. Why'd you stay?"
-
"You seemed to be badly hurt, so I just wanted to stay until I could see you again and see if you are ok, I think you seem a bit better" I said smiling a bit more, "I'm not sure if I could stay much longer because I have to get back to my job" I said, my smile faded a little, "well, I hope they take good care of you" I said taking a quick glance at the clock in the room" ah! I really do have to go!" I said looking towards the door
-
"Hey! Wait, wait, wait! Where do you work? I'd like to come into contact with you again, as soon as I'm allowed to leave, really. I'm new to this town and could use some help." Elias silently prayed that the other would accept him and allow him to friends with him. It was difficult enough to navigate the streets alone, let alone while injured. Once again, his rotten personality threatened to shine through as he dwelled on his own idiocy. He shook the negative thoughts away, focused on Zinark's answer.
-
I looked back towards him, my tail was swaying a a bit quickly, I was rather nervous I might get in trouble for taking such a long time away from my job so suddenly, "the store I work at is called Shinyleaf mystic" I said
-
He repeated the name, getting a feel as to how it rolled off of the tongue. Giving a simple nod of the head, he thanked Zinark once more. "Thank you, Zinark. We'll be seeing each other soon." He allowed his head to settle back onto the cold hospital pillow it had been previously placed on. He finally permitted himself to be swept away by the calming trenches associated with sleep. In a matter of a few moments, his breath was heavy, indicating he was resting at last.
-
I soon left the room and the building heading back to the store and continue my job, once I was back, I was lectured by the store owner hearing that the store was short staffed and that things were going slower then expected, I sighed lowering my head and ears feeling bad, but the day went on ( time skip to another day? )
